We took the National Coach bus from Heathrow to Southampton.
We flew in 2 days before the cruise. Took the train to Bath for the day. The city of Bath offers a free 2.5 hour walking tour. Google..? The Mayor of Bath's Honorary Guides. Great day.

I agree with pinotlover but go to the restaurant reservations desk when you board. Jaques is the busiest of all the restaurants and its very difficult to get a second reservation there. You will get one though as they always keep some tables freeSince Jacques is out least favorite, we traded with new friends who didn't want their Toscana reservations, which we like. Win-win

We also booked the AC Barcelona for a two day post-cruise stay using a free night cert and some points.
We've been to Barcelona a few times before so we don't necessarily feel we need to be in the heart of it. While the location is still a little further out than we want to be as it would be nice to quickly hop back to the hotel for a mid-day pitstop, we're ok with taking a taxi/rideshare or the metro for a 10 to 20min ride for the couple of days we're in town.
Thanks. We have also been before. Will just be there for 1 day/night. Hopefully will find somewhere interesting to eat.

I volunteered on rollcall to set up the M&G for my cruise. I asked who wants to come. I have close to 60 people. I contacted the Oceania representative who is responsible for getting us the tiime/ place requested. She replied. I will post on rollcall the time/place of m&g.
Oceania will set aside the area with a sign that says private event.
Thank you Sophie M for your help.

Sadly, they stopped m&g.
It can be set up by contacting the appropriate person at O. The lady I dealt with last time doesn't do Riviera. I had 61 people on the last m&g.

Does anybody have the name/ email address for the Oceania person who handles Meet & Greet for Riviera? I am setting it up for our cruise.
Thanks.

Frequently in Terrace Cafe, when I am walking back to my table with a plate of food, a worker will quickly come over to carry it for me. Hapensxat breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Has anyone stayed at the AC Hotel Barcelona? It's part of the Marriott chain.

Thanks. We have a trip to kolmanskop (ghost town) with Oceania booked so if we can't get in then O will just refund the money

We love Hotel Jazz but the lovely young man atvthe front desk recommended that next time I ask for a handicapped r[m. The tub was very deep and there was no grab bar. But I would definitely book that hotel. Great location.

Hope you have better luck than we did on January 12th.
It's a tender port and the captain decided that the sea was too rough to tender passengers safely ashore so we had to make do with views of the town through binoculars.
So near yet so far away!
It's interesting about this being a tender port. Our cruise doesn't have the little anchor symbol indicating tender. Do all ships tender in?

Spain Day Tours offers a shore excursion in Porto. We've used the, several times in other cities and have been pleased.

We will be in Cadiz port in November. I booked a day tour with Spain Day Tours to Seville. We have used them before were quite pleased

When we were there breakfast was extra. We walked a few blocks to Tim Hortons

1. I play it safe and log on ahead or time, remind myself what buttons to push to get to the reservations, then log off. I prep by entering my name and PW and then wait until 12:01 ET to hit the button.
2. Going from memory...first you choose whether you want a private table, share with a friend (need their booking number), or share with others. Then you pick a restaurant and a calendar will show up with available dates; when you click on each date it will show the times that are available. If there is one you like, you click the time (and maybe some more clicks) to save that reservation. Then you go on to the next restaurant.
You'll get an email with the rez and it will show in your account.
If you want to check times later, you can change your rez in a similar manner.
That's how I remember doing it

You are not alone with this experience. Our butler on the Marina was also useless. We don't ask a lot, but were very clear on the first day that we wanted sparkling water available (we don't drink alcohol) and ice at all times. By day 3, our ice bucket was never refilled daily and there was no more sparkling water. We asked the room attendant and she said that was the butler's job. He did get us a couple of extra dinner reservations, but we never even saw him most of the time. Never came to our cabin to check on us. We saw him once while we were dining in Red Ginger - it looked like he was picking up a meal for someone else - and he avoided eye contact and didn't even stop to say hello. This is one of the reasons why we have never bothered to pay for a PH again.
We were also on the Marina ... Barcelona to Rio.. several years ago

I know many people live their butlers. Our butler was useless ..unable to make any extra specialty reservation.....which I was able to do. Unable to find the wine bag I left the previous evening at Red Ginger..which I found by going to the O lost and found and asking. I guess we are not butler people.

in Oceania Cruises

We will be on that cruise. We have been on O cruises to Africa/Asia before. Internet worked except for one day when everything got knocked out...nobody's Internet worked. We were in the middle of 3 sea days.
