My family and I are on the AOS later this summer and my 89 year old mother is on the cruise with us. She has some mobility issues, mostly bad arthritic knees. I was wondering if anyone has ever rented a car and just driven around the island on their own? I was thinking of an island tour and then getting a day pass for one of the resorts. This way mom could sit by the pool under an umbrella while we spend time on the beach..as mom can't walk in the sand.

Any suggestions on car rentals(located in close proximity to the dock) and day pass resorts.

Hi all,

I will be sailing with my extended family in August and we have a JR nut in our group. He heard that JR is open and serves snacks on embarkation day. I was wondering from those that have sailed recently what those snacks are and would they tied you over until early seating dinner?

I am just loving your trip report.....We will call Advenure home in a few short weeks...we sail the other route on 8/8 BUT we have the same cabin! I can't wait to hear more about the ship and about that balcony

We have this exact cabin for the August 8th sailing ...87 days from now and I just love the pictures!!! You are right, don't tell too many people about those aft cabins...;) Although we sail to different ports I am enjoying the cruise with you...
