  1. You have a suite and by definition priority boarding. The check-in times are for those without proliority boarding and therefore do not apply to you.

That being said, the one time I left out of Baltimore I had FTTF and boarded at 11:30.

If I were you, I would get to the terminal at 11 and once through the check-in process you should be able to walk right on.

I would NOT get there after 12, because unless you are very late, you will be right in the pack with the rest of the masses.

  2. My 36 mile FRS radios work very well on the ship, but I would gladly give up my radios for a dependable mobile phone communication option. The dream will not have the hub app yet when I cruise, does anyone know of a good chat app that works across the cheap Carnival Wifi plan and across both Apple and Android devices?

Really in 2016?? I'm aghast!! Not all ships have the hub. (Tongue firmly in cheek).

1987 didn't call. It called using what you already have to solve a problem.

  3. Thank you for the info. Any particular brands you suggest or use?

    We bought Motorola Talkabout MH230R two-way radio - FRS/GMRS. 23 mile range

As I mentioned, we used them without issue on our 4 cruises, including the Pride in November.

We also bought an additional 2 units so we would have 4 total. Just put them all on the same channel/ private sub channel and test before your cruise.

Also came in handy in ports where parents split and didn't want to pay international on their cells.

  4. Mine also have private channels between the bands and I have only heard someone else on them once and had to switch channels.

Exactly. Get ones with the private channels and you will never hear others on your channel. Walkie talkies have worked great for our 4 cruises with kids and I would not dream of being without them.

  5. If visiting Jamaica, do yourself a favor and get a few bottles of Sangsters Jamaican Rum Cream. They also sell it at some Islands.

Just like Baileys bit smoother bc it's made with Rum instead of whiskey. Rumchada is not even in the convo. [emoji926]

  6. For Snorkeling/Diving you do not want to miss a day with Cozumel H2O. No need to pay for the cruise over-priced excursions.

We have been twice and love it. There is a reason it's ranked #1 Activity on TripAdvisor.

They take you to 4 different spots and the best part is you just drift with the current. No swimming back to the boat. A guide also points out the amazing wildlife. The best 3 hr excursion money can buy. Don't forget to wear a t-shirt tho to protect your back while snorkeling. Enjoy.

  7. Ok, I get that dressing up on a vacation is a real PIA sometimes, but why on earth would you want to miss out on the BEST meals on the cruise in the MDR??

And on top of that, pay extra for the Steakhouse while you are missing out on FREE Fillet and Lobster in the MDR???

Take an extra outfit, (or wear the same one again - wink nod) go to the MDR on formal nights, and THEN when they are serving stroganoff, you go to the Steakhouse.

Will be on the Pride 1/4 - and will not be missing out on my FREE LOBSTER!
