Great thread as you are doing the same as us. ...We just off RC...loved it but fancy a change. We family of 4. I used to work gor Carnival 20yrs ago. (Youth director ) and know they have a great teen program. Called Circle C ....unless it changed. We too need to fly Manchester. . they 8 day they offer flights but not the 12 day which I find strange. I want to do a package including flights transfers etc .....booking our own flights will add up. Good luck and hope you enjoy if you do decide. Looks a great ship.

We returned from an amazing trip....With kids aged 6 and 9.
So much to do and see....We stayed on the first few days to make the most of the activities.
Highlights for kids ;
Flow rider, climbing wall, ice skating, outdoor movie, Ocean Adventure, swimming, zip line, make your own pizza, ice cream, characters, shows, small world spy holes, parades and parties.
Be prepared and try and fit as much in as you can....I told the kids we can sleep at home on our return.
Little things like nr Johnny rockets were bean bag game and a little play area...Every space is used well.
Best place for sun beds do you can watch the kids is nr the pool bar next to kids water zone. Get there early!!
Solarium is good for a calmer breakfast and kids allowed in then.
Last day Wind jammer do a HUGE cake at entrance ...my kids were fascinated with how big it was! !
Take them late night swimming too. ..We did on our last night....a happy memory.
The model of the shop is great to look at...attached a pic.
White party and 70s party....take white clothes and glow sticks/flashing stuff in preparation.
Pets at sea...expensive but had to be done by my daughter. Same size clothes /set up as Build a bear.

We are planning on going to Pompeii early in the morning and then heading over to Capri in the afternoon....should I be OK for a ferry/hydrofoil...getting there and back??
Thanks in advance
-
Thanks....I was about to post something similar. My kids are 6 and 9 and are wanting to know what sort of things on offer.
Time will be limited as so much to do/see so I am going to have the kids club as a bonus.
I was a Youth director on Carnival- 11 years ago..and have always dreamed of taking my kids on a cruise so this will be nice to be on the other side!!!
I can't wait....we go on the 9th...next week!! (So can report back lots of info on our return)
-
Great...thank you!! We sail on the 9th...very excited!

Rob.
We go 9th August :)

Fantastic...thanks so much. I have been making a list too but yours covers so much more. Much appreciated.
Are you going to share your 'Ports' tips list too.....would be really helpful if you had time.
Thanks again

Seen lots of reports that it is under renovation :(
Does anyone know if it still covered up....we go in 2 weeks.
Thanks in advance

We are going to book tickets for the Colosseum but the official site says to collect there.
Is that going to be a huge line to wait to collect tickets.....is there a quicker way??
Thanks in advance.

Thanks...after an afternoon of research we think we are going to get the ferry up Cinque terre- get off at Montissere and hang out at the beach.
Get the ferry or train back.
-
We thinking of getting the train from La Spezia to Pisa. (58 mins)
Then getting train back and going to Monterosso beach.
Just attempting to find out if we need to go back to La Spezia first or if we can get a train from Pisa to Monterosso beach.
OR we might leave Pisa and do a boat tour past the villages to Monterosso.
We on the same cruise as you.We was looking at this last night, think at the moment due to distance form the port to Pisa, we might be doing a ships tour and visit there.

We have looked into a variety of options and decided to go for a bus only round trip only.
We don't want to do the walk to the train station with the kids in the heat and not have a reserved seat on the train for them.

Then we can do our own things in Rome....it's the unknown...so hope it all works out!
Booking for the Colosseum, and then plan to do the fountain, piazza , lunch and a wander to take it all in.
