That cruise has been chartered by a summer camp group, going with 2000 children. All bars will be closed entire cruise, that is why no one has booked. :p
This really is a joke right? Lol.

Of course the change should not stop you from going everywhere. I will be there in June for the umpteenth time and I will work around the misguided policy change and do whatever I want. I will bring the quarters and when I get somewhere that will sell me the tokens or ticket booklets I will buy those there. It will likely cost me less for transportation than usual not buying the passes. I won't be taking taxis because this year with only two of us that is not worth it. And with one of us maybe golfing one day with me going to a beach solo that day, I am certainly not taking a taxi solo for $35 each way. Duh.
Next year though. If they don't change the policy, there are many other beautiful places I can go. Places that cost less than a Bermuda cruise.
Right. Thank you for the information.

Honestly, I just don't get all the anger over the policy change. Buy two one-day passes if you just want the convenience of buying at the Dockyard. Another idea is to go to one of the places that sell the tokens, tickets, and multi-day passes and buy what you need. You can even send one person from your group to do this. It will cost $5. Oh, and the person that said their family of four was only going to St. George for the day and refuses to buy four one day passes. Well, how about four roundtrips to St. George at $5 each way? Yes, the price has increased, but what hasn't?
Sorry, I know this won't be a popular idea, but it's mine and I own it. Use some common sense. Come to think of it, you would probably pay at least as much for a Starbuck's coffee and not blink.
Armor on, flame if you must.

I agree with you. I will be cruising to Bermuda for the first time this summer and this change is not going to stop me from going where I want. While I enjoy cruising itself and being on the ship, I'm going to Bermuda. Why would I let a few extra dollars keep me from doing what I want to do there? And there are options to get around it if some want to.

I was on the March 27, 2016 Silhouette sailing and I could pay by the minute for WiFi when using my phone. It was 99 cents/minute USD.

Ship: Silhouette
Cabin #: 8244
Deck #: 8
Area: Mid aft
Bed near: Balcony
Quiet?: No. Very close to the main elevators and could hear music from the grand foyer every night. I'm a new cruiser and didn't consider that. Also, every night after 10:00 there was loud banging for over an hour. I see someone on the Solstice commented about that for the same room number and referred to noisy neighbors each night, but I don't believe that's what it was. It was some sort of ship noise, but I could not figure out what it was or where it was coming from. Banging every night between 10:00 pm and midnight and often in the mornings beginning around 7:00 - and loud enough to keep me awake/wake me up.
Balcony view: Very good.
Balcony size: Typical. Good size for us.
Wind a problem?: None that I noticed.
Soot a problem?: No
Problems/comments: The biggest problem for me was the music/bass noise from the bands playing late into the night as well as the loud banging each night and morning. I only stay out late a couple of nights, preferring to relax and retreat to my room most of the time. So, the noise bothered me.

we are also leaving from Moncton, hotel is West Palm Beach Marriott. Flight are with Nolinor Air leaving at 9am on Saturday.
I am travelling tomorrow and just checked the flight status. In that search it showed the last two weeks for the Nolinor flight from Moncton - and it shows a stop in Richmond Virginia before going to West Palm Beach. Not sure if you have gone yet, but can you confirm whether or not this is the case? Thanks!
-
Yes, we were with the all included package. Last year we were told it was Canada North - Nolinor got the contract to do Halifax/Moncton. They totally dropped the ball. Unorganized, didn't know what they were doing. And the poor lady who was charged for her drink, wasn't even reimbursed. Needless to say there were plenty of complaints to Celebrity.
Too bad they totally dropped the ball. I fly tomorrow and am still excited!
I do have a question though - when I check the flight status for the Nolinor flight from Moncton it looks like it makes a stop in Richmond Virginia before getting to Palm Beach. Can anyone confirm this? This is definitely not what we were told for the Halifax/Moncton charter.

You will need much larger. I tried on a stunning key shaped pendant necklace. It was $7K plus.
Good to know.
Did they have any silver jewelry? That tends to be better priced for less than wealthy people like myself. :)
-
I will need larger OBC...;)
I will too. :D
-
Thank you!
-
I wonder if anyone can confirm this? I'll be on the ship in a couple of weeks and would love to visit it if it is there now. :)
-
Bumping this in case anyone has anything to add. Only a couple more weeks for me! :)

It's on your Xpress Pass once you print it. It may vary with your particular Xpress Pass, but on mine for an upcoming cruise it was on the bottom half of the first page.
Perfect! I found it. Thank you!

I've seen this on the boards before but I can't find it now. For the Express Pass; is it better to check "have Celebrity do the rate conversion" or check "have your credit card company do the conversion"?
I didn't see this option when I checked in for my cruise. Where on My Celebrity can I find it?
Thanks!

We leave next Sunday out of Hamilton....I am looking forward to the convenience of this,.....especially this time of the year!! With our exchange rate being so bad at the moment...I did a lot of the math and really thought it was only a bit more than normal...so we thought "What the heck" lets try it!
Right now...I think its a good idea...lol...but I will post a review and let you know
how we made out with the whole thing and if we thought it was worth the money.
Brockmom
I'm looking forward to your review! I hope you are having a wonderful time. :)

We just got back Sunday Feb 14.. Did book and go out of Moncton. Flight was on time heading to West Palm Beach despite a major snow storm the day before. We got to airport early to make sure we got seats together others weren't so lucky. Flight was great... They served us a nice breakfast .
West Palm Beach airport was a breeze... Buses were waiting for us and check into Marriott was quick and easy. We spent a lovely afternoon at City Place before having a late supper at the Bistro at hotel. Next morning buses arrived at 10 to take us to cruise port and we were checked onto ship by 11:30 ... It was great!!! Coming back was not as smooth... After we left ship it was very confusing .... And we had a long wait outside waiting for buses to take us to airport... Our boarding tickets were waiting for us at the counter with pre assigned seats... We ended up being assigned aisle seats across from each other ... No problem but other people not so happy and wanting to change... Announcement was made that seating would be open... Lol.... People were not happy with that either...lol...we finally got to board about thirty minutes later not knowing what the plan was... Everyone just rushed in and grabbed the best they could get.... The last on weren't lucky.... But let me tell you ... Ive never seen a plane fill up so fast.. Ok then were all ready to go but nothing is happening... Attendants pass out snacks and water... Still nothing ... Door still open... We are told that they are waiting for two passengers ... They never did show up... Then we are told we need more fuel... Finally after another thirty minutes the door is closed... Great ... But then... Oh no ... The door opens again .... I believe it was just for more bottled water. Door closed again and off we go .... Nice meal served... Smooth flight and back home to Moncton -18 C
Thanks macdl!
What time did you get to the hotel? I'm glad the airport was a breeze!

Thanks for the replies!
If anyone is/has done the all-inclusive this year and has anything to add, please do!

Hi,
Has anyone taken their cruise as part of this promotion yet? I go next month on the Silhouette and I am wondering what the overall experience was like for those who have done it.
Have their been flight delays? What is the West Palm airport like? How was the hotel?
Thanks!
-
Macdl, do you know your flight and hotel information now? My cruise isn't until late March, so I haven't received anything yet. But I am getting curious!
-
I will be on one of the book and go cruises in March. Now that the first of the book and go cruises are happening, does anyone know the Miami hotel?
Thanks!

We are aiming for no later than 6:30 considering seats are not preassigned. We at least want to be seated close to others I'm traveling with, there are four of us.
Thanks Kevin!!! I knew you would chime in.
We're aiming for the same. Fingers crossed we don't get any more snow. And, hopefully it will be all gone when we get back. Wishful thinking, I know. ;)
-
You require nothing other than your name and passport. The acting Canadian North Agents will issue a boarding pass at both end of your travel.
Regards,
Kevin Reid
Thank you Kevin! That's very good to know. I'm also enjoying your detailed review of the Silhouette. I'm hooked - I'm checking several times a day for your updates. :)

Too funny, I just asked this exact question of FRMPEI who is back from his charter from Moncton and waiting for his response. He's currently writing a very detailed review of his adventures.
Seems odd to me too not to require any documentation. I'm flying out this Saturday from Halifax ... think you are on my flight :)
Funny! Yes, I am on your flight from Halifax. What time do you plan to be at the airport? :)

I wasn't aware there is a shuttle that can take you up and down the hill. Does this run regularly each day?
Thanks!
