Best tip is to not spend all your time on the island just there though. The Dockyard is the Times Square of Bermuda-- its interesting for a look around but there's much more authentic things to see and do.

Thank you. This is my 6th time to Bermuda, and we've never really walked around the Dockyard. This trip, my ship gets in at 1:30 on a Sunday, so I thought we'd check it out for the afternoon.

  2. You guys are the best! Now I'm just waiting to hear of the best coffee! Is there a map of shops somewhere that I can print? I saw an online interactive one, but that won't really do me good.

  3. Can anyone give any recommendations of things to visit in the Dockyard? Best coffee, ice cream? And I think I read about dolphins- not interested in a show, but can we just get in to see them? I also see ads for a shop called Handmade Bermuda, and they picture little cats and maybe mermaids made of felt. Does anyone know where that's located? Any tips or suggestions appreciated!

If she's a US citizen and the trip is sailing from a US port she isn't even required to have a passport, so leaving it blank would be perfectly acceptable.

Thanks. I'm always concerned traveling without a passport, because NJ doesn't have the Real ID license yet. We're a little slow here. 🙂

Leave it blank for now. When she gets her new one, you can add the information.

Thank you. I wasn't sure it would let me continue with blank spots. I'm assuming her passport will come in April/May- is the a deadline for registering? I think the cruise date is June 26.

  6. I plan to book the 5 day Bermuda in June for me and my daughter. I know when registering, it asks for passport number. My daughter's passport expired, and she has an appointment for renewal Feb 8. Should I leave that blank, use the old number, or wait for the new one to come?  Does it matter? Thanks for any info!

  7. My daughter and I are looking at a cruise that would have us in the Dockyard on Sun and Monday until 5 PM,June 28,29. Is anything going on on a Sunday night? And just to be sure, are either of those days a Bermuda holiday?

  8. Horseshoe Beach is way better than the other places you mentioned. It'ts the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. Don't lass it ul. Get off the ship, take the $7 shuttle right to the beach. You won't be sorry.

A picture of my door on the Norwegian Sun (May 2017).

I suppose on longer cruises (around South America), when the cruise staff is looking for things to do to entertain the passengers, door decorations are acceptable.

On my cruise they advertised and promoted a door decorating contest, craft supplies were provided if needed  ( I used their crepe paper). The entries were shown on the big screen in the theatre and prizes were awarded - I received a loaded bag of NCL swag and a bottle of champagne for my door.

    Guess things have changed. 🤪

Great job! I love door decorating.

If you want to take a stroll out of the cabin to get coffee and its not out on the waterfront that early they will fill your travel mug at O’Sheehans. I did that most mornings.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. On RC, I was able to go down to their coffee shop and fill my mug. I take it that this is not self-serve. Do they add the cream and sugar, or I get to? ( I know this probably sounds silly, but coffee is important to me!)

  11. My plan for day one is to spend the day at Horseshoe Beach. Just in case it turns out to be a bad weather day, I need some indoor plans. I've been reading about the BUEI. What is the easiest way to get there from the dockyard? Also, is there anything else nearby it to see? Thanks.
