I'm getting conflicting information through my Google-fu. Does anybody know the cost and quality?
Thanks in advance!

I see you're new to Cruise Critic! You can join your fellow cruisers on this March 12th cruise on the Adventure of the Seas by clicking on the link attached below!! Come on down!!:D

Thanks! I joined (quietly) a few weeks ago. :)

We are in the same cabin March 19th! Do you by chance have pictures? Looking forward to your review :)
...and we have the same cabin March 11th. Promise we'll not be too rough on it! :p

Is this true for water as well? I had been thinking about bringing my own water bottle for longer excursions, but it sounds like it might be a pain.
I'd like to know the answer to this as well.

Excellent! Thanks so much!

I would like to know if picture ID is required for my 10-year-old son in the ports in addition to his seapass. I ask because I have seen many tips saying to leave passports in your safe, but also that picture ID is required. The only picture ID we have for him is his passport. Other info:
-Southern Caribbean cruise leaving from San Juan.
-We are Canadian.
We'd prefer to keep the passports in the safe. If it is required, would a copy suffice, or a picture on my phone?
TIA

We snagged cabins 7388 and 7390 on Adventure for our first cruise. Hope they are good ones!

I did the el yunque twice and i love it there. Best to go the walking tours not just the ride. The ride is short, the walking one is better to see more stuff.
Thanks for the tip! I did not know there was a ride only version. I'm thinking I'm going to want all the steps I can get post-cruise!

We will be on the same cruise as you! All of our excursions except two were booked with outside providers, but we chose ones that came very highly recommended here and on TripAdvisor. The ones we did book through RCI:
In Barbados we will be doing the Jolly Roger pirate cruise (I know there are more highly recommended catamarans in Barbados, but our trip is pirate themed and we couldn't resist the opportunity to walk the plank). We will also be taking the post cruise excursion to the El Yunque rainforest in Puerto Rico. We arriving a day early for our cruise so we will self-tour Old San Juan and the forts then, otherwise our post-cruise excursion would have been that.

Is your booking done in Canadian dollars? Part of the cost could be that you are now paying the higher exchange rate on the Cdn dollar. We had that happen when we tried to add 2 perks from the promo. We were going to pay about two hundred dollars more on the exchange rate and about $700 for the 18% gratuity for the UBP. It was going to cost us about $1,000 more for the two free perks so we declined. We have a 21 day cruise.
I am paying in CAD but the service charge for adding the dining package still wouldn't amount to that much. After some digging it turns out that my TA was getting a price based on everybody in the room getting the dining package, my 10 year old son, being the third passenger, would pay the regular price for his. Maybe next time I'll cut out the middle man so there's less confusion.

I put a deposit down on a March 2017 cruise a few weeks ago and just asked my TA if I could get the 2nd perk added to our cruise due to this new promo and he came back with a price almost $400 (Canadian) more for my booking. I chose dining package as the second choice. Is this normal? Or do I need to start looking for a new TA? New to cruising so not familiar with how much I should expect from him.
TIA

Thanks for the info! Did you enjoy the excursion? Was lunch included? Their website says that it is, but Royal's says it's an extra charge.

We will be docked from 8-5 in Barbados and are wanting to book the Jolly Roger cruise through Royal Caribbean. Does anybody have an idea as to when the pickup usually is for this excursion? Just wanting to know if we could squeeze in a wee bit of sightseeing beforehand.
-
Thanks for the info! Unfortunately they are all booked up for the day we're in port. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Have a great time!

Looking to book with this company as well. Disheartened to hear they expect you to fill up their tour for them.
Anybody else have any experience with them?
-
I'm looking for an answer to this as well. Anyone?
-
In answer to my own question, reviews on TA seem to indicate a guided tour is mandatory. In that case, would anyone know how to arrange that?
-
I hear they recently reopened Fort Saint Louis to the public after being off limits for many years. Has anyone visited? I'd like to know if we must go on an organized tour or if we can just show up and self-tour. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Big Beard trip to Buck Island - recommend?

Just a heads up that Big Beard's has encountered dolphins for the past three mornings in a row on their half-day sail. Videos are on FB. Going to be there March 13th and crossing my fingers that the good luck continues!
