I have a question for those of you who have purchase a future cruise credit while still on their present cruise. This credit requires that you pay $200 usd and receive a 5% credit, plus 100 usd past guest savings , plus additional benefits based on whether you are blue, silver or gold level, on the nest cruise that you book. 
My question is this: Is he $200 usd payment a deposit or credit toward your next cruise or is it the “price” for purchasing the future cruise credit.

When the AMA cruise arrived in Ho Chi Mihn City, did AMA actually dock in Ho Chi Minh or did they dock in a place that required a bus transport?  Can you please comment on how this was arranged?

Can someone who has done the Hanoi/Ha Long Bay pre cruise extension on the AMA Riches of the Mekong cruise please tell me which airport they flew out of and on which airline they flew on when they transferred from Ha Long Bay o Siem Reap to begin the cruise portion of their trip?  thank you 

Thank you Terry&Mike, I will probably be connecting with you further with questions about navigating the airports (ie. communication barriers?); private tours etc.

Thank you Hoosier2017,  we are trying to book the Riches of the Mekong for Oct. 23, 2023.  Not sure if we want to do the Hanoi/ Ha Long Bay extension through AMA waterways or on our own.  With your information, I can at least do a little comparative investigation on which would meet our needs better.

Your cruise sounds amazing. We are planning a Mekong cruise in October this year.  We are trying to arrange time in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay on our own pre cruise.  Did you have any trouble communicating/getting around during this part of your trip? How did you get from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay?  And what cruise company did you sail with on the bay? Did you do a 1 night or a 2 night cruise?

We are planning to go on a Mekong River Cruise with AMA in October 2023. We are considering adding the extension to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay but I would like to look into this further. Can anyone tell me about the excursions that are offered in Hanoi?  Does anyone know which company AMA uses for the 1 night cruise on Ha Long Bay?

Thanks in advance for your time in helping me research this further. 

My husband, myself and brother and sister-in-law will be cruising in May 2018.  We will be in port in Salerno from 7:00am until 6:30pm.  We are thinking to doing this port DYI style as we are on a very busy organized private tour in Rome the day before.  We are thinking about taking a train from the port to the ruins in Pompeii, then going to Ravello, taking a bus down to Amalfi and taking a ferry back to Salerno in time for our cruise to depart.

I have the following questions that I could use some help with

1.  Does this itinerary seem doable in the time frame that we have? or am I trying to pack too many things into a day?

2,  Can we purchase a guided tour of Pompeii at the entrance?

3.  There doesn't seem to be an easy way to get from Pompeii to Ravello via public transport.  Can anyone recommend a taxi service to contact and arrange ahead of time?

4.  How much time should we schedule for Ravello?

5.  Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant in Amalfi with great views to book a lunch?

I just called the 1-800 number and purchased $500 OBC. The person told me that the cost in CAD funds would be $550. They sent me an email confirmation similar to the image posted by son3cruisers. Although they assured me that my $550 Canadian purchased $500 USD, the email confirmation does NOT state the onboard credit amount........it only says that I paid 550 in Canadian funds. Not sure if this worries me or not???
