It's right at the limit for the premium drinks pkg. Most of the drinks at the World Class bar are the same price. A couple are $15, so with the premium pkg you get charged $2.

On our last cruise (2016) we weren't charged anything extra for any of the World Class Bar drinks with a premium package, the prices seemed to have changed from 2015 when there were 2 or 3 drinks that were an additional cost.

One of the most misleading thread titles ever!
I'm off to Russia in 3 weeks, will see how it goes for us.

If you happen to find yourself on Qsine, they make a mighty fine version of the mule as well.
Best mule I've ever had was in Qsine!

We cruised the Western Med last September, neither of us like the sun and we were expecting cooler weather than June/July. There was a heatwave and temperatures were in the high 30s most of the time, its OK on the ship but when you dock you want to visit places and explore on foot, we found the excessive heat uncomfortable and energy sapping. Sometimes we couldn't wait to get back on the ship for a cold drink and a rest.
It depends what you are used to I suppose, we live in the North East of England and a hot day for us is 20 degrees!

Not sure if that picture will work, taken at an odd angle and not a true representation of the obstruction. 1547 on the Eclipse.
If it works I will post some other photographs taken from the balcony that show it doesn't get in the way!

My husband and I usually spend a lot of time playing slots on Royal Caribbean.
We have an upcoming cruise on Infinity. In the past, we have not had enough wins in Celebrity casinos to justify spending a lot of time there. Has anyone won on slots in Celebrity casinos?
We won $600 on our last cruise, walked away and used it for paying off our on board spend, still have $400 left for this cruise.

Sorry to say it, but my initial reaction was 'oh no, I'm on that cruise!'. We choose Celebrity as there are generally fewer children on board than other cruise lines, that said it isn't an adult only cruise line so welcome aboard.
I have nothing against children (I used to be a one), it is just a rarity to see children on Celebrity. I am sure your daughter is much better behaved than some adults, I hope you both have a wonderful cruise. Say hello if you see me!

We always have and have already upgraded our package this cruise despite the changes, I don't really want to be working out if it is better value on a day by day basis, I would rather enjoy myself without having to put too much thought into it. We also spent a lot of time at the World Class Bar, 2 or 3 of their cocktails and I'm sure it is breakeven for the day.

Cruising to the Baltic in June and have a question about currency, we don't plan on spending a lot of money ashore and will probably rely on a credit card in case we want to buy more than a snack/coffee.
Denmark - Danish Krone
Estonia - Euro
Russia - Ruble
Finland - Euro
Sweden - Swedish Krona
Germany - Euro
How have people managed on other cruises with different currencies needed? 4 for ours.

Happened to me on all of our cruises, took a call to sort it out.

Is the balcony larger in 1547 than 1549?
Thanks to everyone for the helpful answers.
1547 has the biggest balcony and least obstruction, on the Eclipse the bed is nearest the window in 1549.
-
This cabin has a 10% obstruction and 1549 has a 50% obstruction. I know the window washer is right by 1549 and we had that cabin on Equinox and the window washer could be a problem.
How bad is it with the 47 balcony? Does the obstruction affect picture taking?
We have stayed in 1549 twice and are doing so again in June, the washing equipment that hangs there is off set by the increased balcony size, a nice quiet cabin with little or no noise from above, handy for the lifts too. I have taken lots of photos from the balcony and alway managed to get decent pictures while avoiding the washing equipment in shot.
We had a look into 1547 and its hardly visible at all, we have booked that cabin for our 2018 cruise, balcony is huge in that cabin.

On our last cruise there were so many people on the free tour that we didn't bother.

Do you mean to tell the maitre d if you are not going at all to Blu or each time you are not going to be there? We just wanted the options to go to either.
No need to tell them if you aren't going, however he would have to organise the MDR.
If you go to a speciality restaurant or the buffet, you don't need to tell them in Blu that you won't be there.

Bump on the last comment, would like to know the best way to monitor the costs going forwards.

You get one chance to change and lock in whatever deal you fancy between now and the end of 2017.

We wanted a particular cabin and although there are no perks at the moment if you book direct they will upgrade your cabin, we booked an A1 cabin for the price of an A2.
We now have until December 2017 to choose our offer and lock the perks and price in.

I have never seen the menu even in Aqua class. Basically just ask for what you like and hope for the best!
Never seen a one either!

Booked this morning. Apparently you have one chance to change before the end of 2017 to lock in perks and any price changes. It was the cruise we wanted to do, not much option for us really!

Looking to book another X cruise for 2018 and I am really shocked by the high prices and lack of perks.
A 2 week cruise to Iceland is working out around £800pp more than our recent cruise to the Med and upcoming cruise to the Baltic next year + no OBC, drinks package, WIFI etc. Factor all of these in and the overall extra cost is well over £1,000 each pp.
Any other cruise lines worth a try or will some offers appear?
I don't fully understand the book now and re-book if a better offer appears option, is this the same as the previous option of re-booking but you would have lost your previous perks?

Not sure other people would appreciate your music if it's played through a speaker!

We encountered a tender port on our last cruise and the delays were caused by people who in my opinion should not have left the ship. The sight of someone who is frail or poor on their feet staggering about and nearly injuring themselves was disturbing.
I suffer with a back problem which varies on a day to day basis, if I was having a bad day I would give that port a miss in case I injured myself further. People need to know their limitations in my opinion.
Upcoming perks?
in Celebrity Cruises

Our August 2018 cruise which we booked in November 2016 has gone up £300 each. We already thought the rates were high when we booked and were hoping for a better perks package/price decrease. Doesn't seem to be heading that way.
