Are you on the Bliss sailing? Actually we will be there TG week on the same day as the Bliss (on Royal Caribbean).  We are doing the Magic Kingdom transfer (which drops and picks up from the Transportation and Ticketing Center; then you take the monorail to MK, Epcot, or the 3 hotels in the loop) this time.

Yes. We are sailing on the Bliss. We still don’t know what to do on FL day. We have a few days to figure it out. I just didn’t want to be in Disney Springs and not be able to do anything as it being a holiday week. I’m sure it will be insane but if that’s the case we will just do the beach. Thanks. 🙂

Yeah 76 seem perfect. A lot warmer than the colder NY weather. :)

Hello. We will be Arriving in FL Next week- Tues and we are looking to get off the ship to stretch our legs. We also have family in FL that will be meeting us as well. Last time we did this trip, we did the transfer to Cocoa Beach but it was in May and a lot warmer out. I was thinking of doing the Disney Springs transfer for the day but will it be insane there being Thanksgiving week? We are a family of 6 and meeting up with 4. So going to lunch will be 10 people. I’m just worried with the traffic and it being so far away. Is it worth doing? We are suppose to be in FL from 1-9pm. Any advice is appreciated!!! Thanks

Did they offer you a new room? I didn’t want to risk offering a bid and just having just one room winning an upgrade. Thanks

Thank you so much for all your insight. I know it will be overwhelming as my husband and I did the escape last year out of nyc. We would like to take the kids on a bigger ship than the jewel class as we have done in the past and we like to go out of nyc. Do you remember who the cruise director was by any chance?

My boys were able to order virgin blended drinks on soda package but it may have just been a fluke that we were not charged. Ymmv.

Thank you. If I may also ask you... what did you all think about the Bliss? I am a lil upset the go carts are now $200 for the week when it was $100 when we booked. Did you guys do the go carts or laser tag? We are a family of six with (4) kids and the last time we took kids on the gem so this will be a lot bigger and better.

If you have colored hair (I do, too), I strongly recommend bringing along your own shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt almost crunchy after a few days of using the NCL stuff. I pay far too much for this color to mess it up!

I agree 100%. Already have redone shampoo and conditioner. Do you remember if the hand soap is dispenser too or just bar soap? My husband won’t use the bar soap lol. Whenever we go away I have to bring a hand soap.

Yeah we are definitely bringing good shampoo and conditioner as all the girls have colored hair including me. Maybe I’ll bring one big bottle of body wash and when it runs out then everyone will have to then use the green one on the wall. 😂

Yeah I ordered mini loofahs from amazon. Just trying to minimize what to bring. Thanks for the info and the pic. Is that body wash black? Lol

Hello. We will be going on the Bliss in a few weeks. We have two adjoining balcony rooms booked. Does anyone know what they supply in the bathrooms as in soap and body wash and shampoo? We are two adults and 4 kids. Each person will have their own bag but whatever toiletry I can leave home will be great. 😉

I have mini loofahs I got but I am hoping there is body wash already in the cabins. If so is it good?

Also... all kids are ages- 15, 17, 19, am 20. They will all have the soda package. Do you know if they will be able to get non alcoholic pina coladas or will we have to pay out of pocket? 
we did the Gem together 4 years ago and I can’t remember. 🙂

Yeah we are a family of 6 and I had to book 2 and 4. I called and they can’t put them together. They said when we get on we have to go to the restaurant ASAP  and ask them to seat us together. I hope they can as we have 4 kids. So weird as some restaurants take reservations for 6 

When we sailed the gem about 4 yrs ago we had an amazing cruise director. He was constantly interacting with all the guests. Cracking jokes on the intercom system when they made the daily reports... even performed in the shows. 

Last year we were on the escape and hardly heard a peep from that cruise director. Yeah I don’t book a cruise to who is the current cruise director. Was just curious. :)

Thanks. Just thought it was weird. Again I’m not going to participate as we have two rooms booked and they are sending a few emails a day to upgrade. It’s getting annoying. 

I will be going on the Norwegian Bliss in a few weeks out of NYC. Currently the ship is doing cruises out of Los Angeles in oct & nov. does anyone know who the current cruise director is? Wondering if it will be the same for the NYC cruises. Thanks. :-) 

I am a little confused... we are sailing in 6 weeks and have two connecting balcony cabins booked. I keep receiving emails asking if I would like a chance to Upgrade. I am not going to try as we want to keep our two adjoining rooms.... but I am confused as they keep advertising to bid on a bunch of the Haven rooms. I keep doing a fake reservation on our cruise as a family member might now book and come along and every time I look, the Haven rooms are sold out. Why would it be listed as part of the bid to upgrade if they are already sold out???? Just curious!!! 😂

Yeah it still let’s me upgrade to an additional choice if I want. I only made one bid and honestly I keep going back and forth with cancelling it as we could get out in a worse section of the ship.

Hello. We sail on the Escape this Sunday out of NYC. I put in a bid for an upgrade. I have heard that some people don’t find out until two days out. My question is... if your bid is denied, do you get an email saying the bid wasn’t accepted? Just curios. Ty
