Hi all! Anyone who have been to Red Stripe Beach recently? Trying to decide what to do in port when visiting Jamaica in June! Need help to decide!:)

We booked Bamboo beach through Carnival one, it was the worst experience you can imagine...not recommended!

We are trying to decide what to do in Jamaica when we visit in June. What was so bad with the Bamboo Beach Club? We are considering Jewel Runaway Bay that we found at resort for a day .com.

Anyone with good or bad experiences? We are a family of two adults and two girls, 15 and 17.

A lot of shops as well as a Margaritaville.

 

I recommend a ship sponsored excursion if you choose to go outside of this port area......

Read a lot of reviews about Falmouth and a lot of people says its unsafe outside the portarea. We were thinking about the Red Stripe Beach sponsored by the ship. Then we found resort for a day.com. Its an organized tour but not a "Royal Caribbean tour"

Any thoughts or experiences? Consider us as first time cruisers, since we just cruised once, 20 years ago, without the kids. Never been to Jamaica before and would like to enjoy the beach during our stop.

I called today and spoke to Keith the owner and it is indeed a new company. If you have any questions please send him an e-mail and he will be happy to help with any concerns.

I´ve been in contact with Keith as well. Got a quick, personal and detailed answer. I was told the service starts on April 3th. So I hope for some good reviews after that:)

Just returned last Sunday. Enterprise rent a car in Galveston wouldn't take us to the terminal, so we had to take a taxi. There was no extra fee to be dropped at the terminal, we only paid the metered fair plus tip.

 

I believe the fee you are referencing is charged to private shuttles and limos.

I didn't think about that it could be a difference. Thank you!

Anyone who knows anything about this service? Its obviousley a new company with no reviews. Since we arrive in Houston after a long trip from Sweden I want everything to be booked before we arrive, jet lagged, tired and confused!:)

We are 4 persons so we will save some dollars with this transfer! We are not sailing until June, so please let me know if you have any info.

Hi all! I have read and I´m joining this thread and hope to get som information! Anyone who have good or bad experiences from the transfer between IAH and Galveston? Since we will arrive the evening before the cruise (tired and jet lagged after a long trip) it feels better to what to do in advance than to deal with it when we arrive.

Since we arrive the day before we can't book the transfer with RCL, don't know why.

We will stay at a hotel close to the airport that night and we will leave for Galveston the next morning. We are 4 persons. Have been looking around for taxis, limos, shuttles..... and Im just confused.....! As I understand there is a fee for the taxis to get in to the terminal area? How do I know if its incl in the price or not?

We are not cruising until June, but this "transfer thing" worries me a bit, since Im kind of a control freak....and I know how confused and tired I am after a long trip from Europe On top of that I have to consider us as "first time cruisers" since we just cruised once and it was 20 years ago, with no kids!!
