  1. So my son woke up yesterday coughing his little head off. He gets this EVERY year at this time. His cough lasts several weeks. No fever 99.1 when I checked this morning. He has a stuffy/runny nose. I personally think he has allergies and maybe some asthma going on. We are taking him to the dr just to be sure it isn't bronchitis. I'm just so afraid they are going to turn us away! He went to school today because of no fever and he is generally fine... He just sounds gross. No commuting or diarhea either. It could just be a cold for all I know.

If he has no fever bit is coughing and stuffy, will they turn us away? Obviously if he really sick we wouldn't bring him on there but what about just a cold/allergies???

  2. Hello all!

My hubby smokes and he asked me to come on here and find out something.

If you buy cigarettes in the duty free shop on board, can you smoke them on board?

If you buy cigarettes/cigars in port, can you smoke them on board? Do you have to notify the crew that you have them?

How many cartons of cigarettes or cigars is allowed through customs on debarkation?

    Thank you!!!!

  3. We are going on the Fantasy. I see the age groups are 2 to 5 year old and 8 to 10 or 11. My kids will be 5 and 6 to whatever. (Can't remember upper age.). Would they let my 5 year old be with his 8 year old brother in the next age bracket? I was looking at the activities for both age groups and my 5 year old is going to be bored. He would probably rather stay with his brother and visa versa.

Also. We have two cabins. My in laws paid for 1 of our kids, so that child is listed in their cabin and the other is in ours. Would both kids be able to stay in my in laws cabin for atleast one night? Can you spend the night in other people's rooms?

Also, we are going during hurricane season? Im quite nervous about this. Has anyone been in the Fantasy during a particularly bad storm? How "bad" was it? We are on deck 9, midship.

  4. Im sorry if this has been covered. I couldn't find any recent posts about this specific hotel.

I'm considering booking Sleep Inn in West Ashley. It's on Savannah Hwy. we are parking at the port so I don't need to cruise and park package. Is this a descent area? Is there anything good wise nearby?

  5. We have decided to park at the port (unless I can find a hotel that does stay and cruise cheaper than $200 for us). Anyone know of a hotel close to port that is descent and $100 or less a night? I'm getting anxious to find one. I don't know anything about the area and I don't want to stay in a bad area.

  6. We have decided not to book an excursion and just to explore. So what is there to do?

We heard about a pirates mueseum and a zoo. Is there any really pretty places to take pictures?

Is the free beach really crowded?

    Restaurant Rex's?

Where can I find a website that will tell me how much the attractions cost? We need to know how much to prepare for.

  7. I am a big collector of snow Globes and Chridymas Ornaments. I know I'm going to get an ornament from the Fun Shops, but I don't know where to get a Snow Globe. Do they have them in the Fun Shops? I want one from the Bahamas also, would I be allowed to bring it back on board? Does anyone know a good place to get a snow globe in Freeport or Nassua?

    Thanks so much!!!!

  8. I'm trying to get some info on a few excursions, but when I call and enter my number selection, nothing happens. I don't get transferred. I don't hear music, it doesn't hang up. I sat there for nearly 5 minutes listening to dead air. I tried three times.

I'm also trying to post in the forums on their website but when I go to do so, there is a blank screen. No reply button on posts either. I've been trying to months and every time it's the same. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

  9. Family Beach Break or the All-Inclusive Beach Break in Freeport. It doesn't say which beach they take you to.

Private Island Dolphin Encounter and Beach Day or private island Dolphin SWIM and Beach Day. What's the difference? Besides $30 a person...

Any suggestions on other excursions that may be up our alley? We are nervous about booking a private excursion. We like the cruise line garantee

  10. Hi everyone! I'm back! I've posted a couple of times and I got several helpful responses. I had asked about documents needed for traveling with my dog to the Bahamas.

I was given the advice that I needed an import form on top of shot records and USDA health certificate.

My travel agent just called me today and told me that all I needed to travel with my Guide, is 1 year rabies proof, USDA approved health certificate, ID for me and my Guide, and that Carnival has a form that I need to fill out ahead of time and sendBack. She is sending that form to me as soon as she gets it.

Does this seem correct? I specifically asked about an import form or if I needed to contact the Bahamas ahead of time for any reason and she said no. I hate to ask the same question repeatedly, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thank you all for your help!!! 😊

  11. Hi all! We are going to Freeport and Nassua in early OCT. We will be traveling with 4 adults and an 8yo and 5yo.

I know we want to spend some time on the beach (doesn't matter which port, or even both). We are ok with snorkeling but Neither boy knows how to swim. Site seeing might be cool. Safety is a top priority.

I'm nervous to book a private excursition because I don't want to miss the boat! Lol. But I'm open to it.

I'm overwhelmed by all the things you can do. Help please!!!?
