  1. I'm assuming you're talking about the bus out of Skagway and over White Pass? You'll want to sit on the right side of the bus on the way there and on the left side on the way back.

Yes that's the one, thank you

  2. I am going crazy trying to figure out what to take. Is it cold on ship during sea days? Do I have to wear jeans or sweatsuit or are capris okay? I'm so use to packing for Caribbean cruises I am at a loss.

Help..... Can someone tell me what they have packed. Thanks... We cruise next Saturday. Can't wait....

    Thanks....

I am on a 14 day land tour before 7 day inside cruise and I am taking

    2 shorts,2 capris. 2 jeans, 1 good black pants

2 long sleeve ts, 3 short sleeve ts,3 jazzy tops,

    1 fleece, 1 rain jacket

    Sard wonder soap

  3. I've printed out mine also but one thing bothers me....how do we fix the luggage tags to our luggage? I don't plan on carrying a stapler and I can't staple them on at home because the airlines would tear them off. Here's what I may do:

    (1) Borrow a stapler from the hotel front desk

    (2) Use punch to make a hole in the labels and tie them on with a brightly colored string (like yarn) while standing in line

    (3) ? put them on using your instructions

Hi, I covered ours with clear contact, punched a hole through with a six inch nail and used double hat elastic to make a loop,

We are on the Noordam in 10 sleeps, ( or in my case non sleeps)

    🚍 ✈️. 🚢

  4. Well this isn't a school paper so I'm not too concerned with paragraph structure. I'll try to be more mindful of that if I ever write a review in the future.

How picky, I have a brother like you, he returns the emails I send him with full punctuation.

  5. Hi all

We are booked on a 19 day cruise touring the Baltics and Scandinavia - namely Germany, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Unlike other parts of Europe the euro is not widely used and most of these countries use their own currency. My question is, what would be the best currency to carry / use in order to exchange to local currencies when we visit each of these ports?

We are Australian and the Aussie dollar is quite strong at the moment - although the Budget that was handed down last night might change that ;) - so that is a thought. Or is it better to carry either USD or the Euro?

    Thoughts?

Get yourself a Citibank Plus debit card, load it with your own money, no withdraw charges at ATMs and no currency exchange charges, used it for years all round the world. Love it

  6. I decided to buy some online credit now since the Can dollar is tanking. When I went to buy it it asks which day I want it and the delivery location?? So does it go right on my spending account? or ?

You think you have troubles, our Aussie dollar is painful against both US and Canada, I bought some onboard credit a while back but don't remember being asked where I wanted it delivered ?

  7. I have just noticed that our next cruise has a group "Road Scholar Group" on board.

Has anyone been on a cruise with this group? How large is the group? Did they disrupt the normal activities at all?

So how do you find out if there are any groups onboard ?

    Thanks

  8. Thanks for the links! I just wanted one day that I do not have a circle on my shirt to show what tour I am taking.

Ha ha,On one of our overseas land tours in China, we had do many stickers on us between yours and transfers when we got home and I went to do some shopping my husband wtote me out a sticker with Supermarket Tour and stuck it on me before I left home.

  9. I was reading another cruise line thread regarding the mini-bar issue. One poster stated that "they removed the mini-fridge contents and put it in the footstool that was in the cabin. Included in the "footstool stash" was an inventory of everything that was in it. When they were getting ready to disembark they put everything back in the fridge".

They also stated that they have NEVER been charged for items that were removed from it in the 20 years that they have been cruising.

Sounded like a pretty good idea. That way the passenger knew what and where everything is. May give it a try. ;)

    Okie1946

Not a nice thing to do if the next passenger is a beer drinker, once beer is chilled it should stay that way till drunk,

    Just saying

  10. Hi Tights,

Are you able to post the URL address for the page that you shared a screen shot of? It looks like that part of the site can only be viewed by someone logging on from Australia. In NZ we can only see the price in US dollars. Thanks.

Needless to say we are not happy campers, we are not actually on this cruise and done really know what we paid for our August Noordam as it was in a package air/ land/ cruise tour but feeling ripped off now

  11. Hello! This is our first HAL cruise (5th total cruise) and we are taking the ms Oosterdam to Alaska from Vancouver on July 5th.

We booked a guaranteed balcony (VH) for the trip only a few days ago for what we thought was a good/great price ($799pp) and just got our assignment - VB4183 aft. This seems like a great room assignment but since we've never had an aft balcony and have only sailed Caribbean before, is this a decent assignment? I don't want to have my hopes up for something magnificent and be disappointed. I would definitely rather have realistic expectations going in :)

Anyone familiar with this room/location and is an aft preferable for Alaska?

    Pros and cons of

    Thanks so much!

Not kidding you got a good price, this cruise is being offered on Australian web site cruiseabout for$2680 unbelievable
