Great video!!! We are doing a back to back on Princess next June and we were looking for something to do during the turnaround day!
Compliments to Lisa for a through and well thought out presentation!

We did the 15 day Princess Connisseur Cruise Tour in June of 2019, with the cruise portion first and then eight days on land. Honestly, we chose the cruise portion first because it was a little cheaper. If we were to do it again, we would definitely do the land portion first and then the cruise. While the land tour was as near perfect as any trip could be, it was tiring - early mornings and several hours travel by bus/train. By the end of the eight days we were exhausted and still had to fly from Fairbanks to Seattle to Detroit to Albany. The land portion was magnificent and we highly recommend it but do the land first and then have time to relax on the cruise back.

We, too, are on the 6/12/19 sailing of the Coral - celebrating our 35th anniversary and doing the 15 day Connoisseur Tour. Like the OP, we couldn't believe the price on this cruise - kept waiting for Princess to say that it was a mistake. Really looking forward to it but must say that packing for the trip is a challenge.

The Nikon Monarch series are great binocs and will be my choice for next June's cruise to Alaska.

We are doing a cruise/land tour in June 2019 on the Coral Princess and last week we purchased air through EZAir form Albany, NY to Vancouver and from Fairbanks to Albany, both on Delta for a total of $1577 for two people, $750 less than offered via the Delta website. Lots of time before the trip so we will keep watching to see if fares decrease via EZAir or Delta.

Thanks for the review! We are doing the same cruise next Saturday and it's great to hear that all is well on the Grandeur!!

Found this - don't know how old it is. The pre-cruise cost is available in the details portion of your booking.
Significant savings on the Premium Plan. less so on the others. No idea what the discount is if you buy the cruise length package after getting on the ship. Hope this helps! We are going to be on the Miracle for the 14 day Journey cruise to
Alaska on 9/2. Can't wait!!

During a cruise my wife came down with a bad cold and couldn't eat in the main dining room. Upon hearing that she was sick, our waiter, at the end of my dinner, brought a huge bowl of chicken soup for me to take back to the cabin for my wife. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture!

Coke products.

For any others that might have the same question - check-in for YTD is on Deck 5 and the dining room is on deck 3.
-
Just off the Sunshine on Saturday. Yes, the smoking area on deck 10 is covered and yes, you can smoke cigars in the deck 3 smoking area.
-
On the Sunshine now, Cabin 7140 and it does have a mini-fridge. Based on what I had read, I did not expect to find one.

Thanks for the review. Leaving on the Sunshine Saturday!

Thanks for the great photos!! Sailing the Sunshine on September 17th!!

Great job!!!!! Thanks for taking the time to put together such an extensive spreadsheet!!

On a Carnival cruise several years ago, my wife came down with a bad cold during the cruise and didn't feel well enough to attend dinner in the MDR. Our waiter asked where she was and I advised him that she was not feeling well. At the end of my dinner, without any request from me, he brought me a huge bowl of chicken soup to take back to my wife in the cabin. Both my wife and I were so appreciative of his thoughtfulness!!

Guy's Burgers and the Blue Iguana are great for burgers and Mexican fare respectively! Both are GREAT!! You will love the Pride!

I had not posted anyhting but have been enjoying your review very, very much and am looking forward to reading the remainder! Thanks for taking the time for such a thorough review - it's a LOT of work!!

I use McDonald's Gift cards (with no value attached) that I pick up from the counter at McDonald's. Have used them or several cruises and never had a problem.
-
We love the size of the Pride (and her sister ship, the Miracle). Like the previous poster, we did the repositioning cruise in March 2015 and loved the ship - easy to find your way around and it's has Guy's Burgers!! We just booked another 14 day repositioning cruise on the Pride for February of 2017.
-
543 days but who's counting!
-
We've stayed in an obstructed balcony room on two occasions - once on the Miracle and once on her sister ship, the Pride - Cabin #5176 on both cruises and loved the cabin location. For the difference in price you won't be sorry!

On July 30, 2013, my wife and I purchased a cruise for our son and his soon-to-be bride for their honeymoon next week. The original fare for the Carnival Splendor eight day cruise out of NYC for a 4E cabin (their choice!) was $2,220. Prior to final payment, the fare dropped by $300 as I kept a close eye on the fares via Fare Viewer. After final payment in mid-March, I continued to check Fare Viewer frequently and found three price drops, one in April and two in May for which OBC was provided in the amount of $$820!! So, a cruise that started out at $2220 ended up at $1,151 when the $820 of OBC iis figured in! (Port fees increased in the interim by about $50).
Getting the fare reductions and/or OBC was easy as we had used "our" PVP to book the cruise and all we had to do was email him about the price drop and he took care of it, usually within the hour. No forms to complete, no waiting - about as easy as it gets!
Moral of the story - check Carnival Fare Viewer often and use a PVP!!
