  1. Hi there

Wondering if anyone can help. Our daughter concerned by lack of bottled water in drinks packages and I was wondering whether to buy a bottled water package separately.

How have people found the drinking water on the Jewel?

If I did buy the water package are we free to take those bottles on and off the ship when in port?

    Many thanks for any assistance.

  2. Hi there

    Wondered if anyone could help.

We are cruising from Circular Quay in January and are thinking of staying in Darling Harbour the night before the cruise. How much would a taxi/uber be from there to Circular Quay on cruise day?

Also the day before the cruise we plan to sightsee at Circular Quay - would it be possible to walk from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay. We are a fit, healthy family of 4.

    Many thanks :)

  3. Hi there

We are a family of 4 travelling on the Norwegian Jewel in January and have a one day stop in Melbourne. Really just want to spend the day wandering around the city and probably going to St Kilda and travelling on the tram.

Have looked on line that a Myki Explorer pass for the day is the most cost effective option. However it seems I can only buy it in the city centre, cannot buy beforehand on line so have the cost of travelling from the pier to the city?

Has anyone found a way to buy the Myki Explorer at the pier? Otherwise what would the cost be of going into the city centre and buying the pass there?

    Many thanks :)

  4. We are cruising from Sydney in January and found accommodation very expensive. Came across a B&B on trip advisor with breakfast included, very good reviews called Mariners Court Hotel about a 20 minute walk to the rocks. Hopefully will be OK and certainly a cheaper option!

  5. Hi there

Really, really loving your review. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences!

We are a family of 4 travelling on the Jewel to New Zealand in January.

A couple of questions ...I was interested in the spa pass but wanted to get one for my daughter too - she will be 2 weeks off 18 when we travel but I have been told she needs to be 18. Are Norwegian very strict at enforcing that policy do you know?

Pleased to find out there are steam rooms by the gym - again do you think my daughter would be ok using the gym facilities/steam room?

Thanks in advance for any advice and have a wonderful trip :)

  6. Hi there

We are a family of 4 sailing on the Jewel on 5 January 2018. Just checking our holiday details today and it appears that the cruise itinerary has changed - originally we were going to Eden, 2 days in Melbourne and 2 days in Tasmania before heading to New Zealand.

Now we go to Melbourne for one day and then to Dunedin, Akaroa and Picton instead and have an additional day at sea.

We don't might too much as the new destinations look wonderful too but shouldn't we have been told by NCL????
