  1. Did you try Norwegian Airlines to Copenhagen, they are not related with NCL. Their hub is Copenhagen, maybe you can score a non stop flight. The train ride is about 3 hours to Hamburg. Train Station Hamburg Altona would be the closest to the Cruise Port.

    Good luck!

  2. Hi everyone.......back with another silly question. I have heard that the Med. cruises are very different from the Caribbean and we are going on our first one. I always look forward to the sailaway party on deck on the first day and am just wondering if they do that over there, too. It just gets me in the cruise mood, you know? I know there will be no reggae music and all but just wonder how it is sailing out from Barcelona. Thanks.......................Patti

We had a beautiful Sailaway Party last year from Barcelona and i really look forward to attend this year again 😊

    Happy Sailing

  3. Do you know Norwegian Airlines? Not related to NCL and no extra costs for one way flights, their premium product is pretty nice.

I have to admit that i booked a "full" flight once and only used one leg, was cheaper than one way but you have to make sure that you fly the first leg. Sometimes Virgin Airlines with no additional costs if you are lucky ;)

  4. The Bar is operated normally between 5 and 7pm. Not free but UBP works here too.

Best Cookies ever 24/7 for free. 😊

Also free self service specialty Coffee Maker, Joghurt and Fruits 24/7

Vending maschine for Soda, dont know if Card or Cash as i didnt use it.

    Happy Sailing

  5. I could start with a very bad joke and tell you that all on board expenses are billed in $$$ but i am not going there ;)

My first advice would be to take part in your roll call. Many people organize small group tours with independent contractors which cost around 1/3 of the tours offered by the Cruise line.

A good travel guide book will help a lot to enclose what you really want to see in these ports, most of them have very easy access to public transport.

Do you drive by car "on the wrong side of the street"? If so, car rentals on this loop are very easy to find and around €45 - 60 per day.

    Happy planning!

  6. If you arrive in Hamburg in time or max 6pm , you will have no problem to be in time at Hamburger Hafen. Taxi from airport to Cruise Terminal takes around 25 minutes in normal traffic.

Is your stopover with Lufthansa in Frankfurt or Munich? I would decide for Lufthansa then, as they have many flights to Hamburg daily, more or less every other hour.

Flughafen Hamburg is not that big, not to compare with NYC but we get along😉

  7. Hiya Lilly... I most certainly did! ;) It's black and silver and sparkly and makes me feel happy. Thanks for asking. I ordered 3 and fell in love with one of them. [emoji813]eyes: One came with half a pocket sewed closed and the guy I talked with on the phone told me that they sometimes do that for shipping for it to lay flat, and that I'm supposed to take the stitching out myself. :o Errrrr, excuse me? I have never seen a pocket half sewn closed on anything and then was expected to fix it myself. The third was just meh, so I returned two and will take the black and silver with me. :D

    That sounds perfect 😊

I hate these sewn pockets, too as i am very untalented fixing these things lol

Did you start packing already or have a list or are you a "just throw in the night before" kind of woman? 😉

  8. Thank you Lilly2015 for the reply. We have always been docked at the ports so have no idea what to expect when tendering.

    You are welcome 😊

On my last Epic Cruise the meeting point for excursions with tenders was mostly the theater but was announced over and over on the PA - hard to miss 😉

    Happy Sailing 😎

  9. When we have inside cabin we put the tv on the bow channel. Easy to see when it's daylight.

    This!

Always had OV or Balcony even when traveling on my own. This year my 1st Cruise with NCL in Studios and put TV to bridge channel before i went to bed (dont forget to set it to mute). Woke up every morning to "natural" light and still ask myself why i paid so much money on former Cruises 😉

  10. That’s exactly what happened to me. The only difference is that cancellation for us is 20% up to 91 days because we have booked a Haven cabin.

I only found out the actual conditions when my TA told me the amount to pay to cancel. I thought he was mistaken and send him an email with an screen capture I got when I looked up for those cancellations fees. Then he told me those were US conditions and were different. Imagine my face after reading that!!

Well I wish you don’t have to cancel. Do you think that printout would make NCL reconsider your situation if you needed to cancel??

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I would scan it and send it to NCL directly - you got nothing to loose...

As we can not (without any technic gadgets) visit the US Website, there might be a small chance they consider your request but i wouldnt tell them you want to cancel to book with a Competitor ;)

  11. I will definitely be eating alone sometimes, and mostly I'm okay with it. It's harder at dinner to eat by oneself, I think.

The Solo meetings are every evening. On my Cruise we mostly used it as the general meeting spot to have a pre Dinner Drink and decide where to have dinner and who wants to join.

One more thing: if you like the fruity Cocktails but want to skip the Alkohol, order them without it 😉🍸
