  1. Just off Sunshine as well, not real impressed, they did a makeover -- (2.0 conversion) ... guess that was ok, but from I have read before sailing, it was revamped to hold more people ... not a good thing ... We was on the 8 day sailing, with 3 ports, 4 cruise days , only 2 small pools, 1 hot tub on serenity deck, the other 2 hot tubs continually filled with children, very small lounge for the comedy club, ( this is one of our favorite things on other ships) . This ship is not meant for this sailing with 4 seadays .. ( they didn't have seaday brunch on 1 day)... live and learn i guess.. a 7 day with 4 ports may do well on this ship .. ports were nice, and sun off the coast of Venezuela is real hot ..

Our take is it seemed way to crowded, we had our time dining with a check in at the Taste bar, ( they had you wait there if needed ) which is a good thing, instead of waiting out front by elevators, They should post the menu there, and then you can decide if it is there, or another restaurant ( Italian is the best ) ..

Buffet is way sub-par to any other carnival ship, deli is good as always, pizza was always burnt on bottom, table cloths only on formal nights, when they serve dessert, by then there is sweat rings from ice water, sodas, etc, then they put your silverware for dessert on a dirty table .. not a good thing..

Sunshine was our least favorite Carnival ship

Took the words out of my mouth, I feel they sacrificed public space to add more cabins. Also whatever you do DON"T book a cabin on deck 6 foward...you're above the Liquid lounge and turns into a nightclub that goes until anywhere from 1 am-4am. So unless you're a night owl or very heavy sleeper this is not the area for you. Offered an upgrade from deck 2 to this deck and didn't know about the night club thing. After 2 am I went down to guest services and asked about a possible move. They moved us back to our original cabin, I'm glad they were able to because I wouldn't have been able to handle that for the next 8 days.

  2. True... I am booked on both the Sept 2016 and the Oct 2017 Pride to Bermuda and was given the same advice when asking the same question. "It depends...".

So I'm not the only one who booked the Pride to Bermuda in October 17. I booked a balcony on deck 6 on port.

  3. My in laws were on this trip...helpful also is if you book an inside cabin don't book in very front on Empress deck. The crew lounge/bar is up there and you'll get the smoke from there filtering into you cabin. Wish I could take the repositioning cruise next month. We sailed on this one her first trip out of Jax and would be neat to sail out of Jax on her last one.

  4. Hi, cruise_mojo! Welcome back from your cruise! I posted the pictures in your roll call.

Do you know why the ship is so late today? It still has not left port...

Just talked to my inlaws on the ship and they said something mechanical but didn't know what. I'd like to know also.

  5. Is there even another port a long the coast that could accommodate a ship as big as anthem if it needed to? Assuming charleston probably isn't. Is Norfolk since there is a Naval Base there?

Depending on how far south I wonder if Mayport couldn't get them into a port to check out the ship.

  6. You're looking in the right place. Maybe it's not rolling out until March 1st? Have you made your final payment? Maybe you can only select once you've paid? I checked and the FAQ doesn't mention when you're able to select your window (immediately after booking, 3 months before, after final payment, etc)

Still months before our final payment and I selected ours just a few minutes ago.
