  1. I've seen this happen at the end of some entertainment show when everyone is trying to leave but have no place to go because those who have exited stand right outside blocking all exit points. I think that's what is meant here.

Thank you, that's what I'm saying. Please don't stand in the pathway, if you want to chat move off to the side just don't block the way for others to get by.

  2. We had 1206 a port hole and only time we heard the anchor was when we tendered in Grand Cayman but it didn't bother us as we were already up for the day. Last night though you'll hear crew getting the suitcases ready for disembarkment.

  3. Those are ALL wonderful and we all have others we could add, like the servers on the pool deck trying to get your business for the whole cruise, or meeting the cabin steward. This a great post, and it is wonderfully refreshing because each of the things we list as a "little thing" that reminds us where we are and how much fun we can have, I have seen nearly everyone as a complaint in other posts. How sad is that?

Thanks for your post, and I agree with every on of the little things you and the others have listed!

Only complaint I have is they make me leave the ship when we get back to home port. :)

  4. Wow you nailed so many... how about...

    15. That first glimpse of the ship

    16. Your first step onboard

When driving to the port and you catch sight of the whale tail is always a sight to cause excitement.

I know I'm really on vacation once my feet hit the deck and I scream VACATION!

  5. Right before you get to the port, there should be a place with a bunch of shops. I know there's a Costco there and many other things, I'm almost positive there's a Publix. What I'd say is, if you can, get that the night before so you can take an early shuttle to the port.

Are you thinking of Canaveral? The only Costco in Jacksonville is in St John Town Center which is about 20 miles from the airport.

  6. That's a great first time cruise, but for nos 2, head to the Caribbean. Long Bch has great facilities, embarkation/debarkation was a breeze. Sailaway is a little uneventful from LB. One of my favorite spots on Fantasy class ships is out the back door of the lido buffet on either side of the ship. Enjoy!

My favorite spot on the Fantasy ship also.

  7. I am afraid they would probably destroy them. Not just anyone can make biscuits and gravy right.

I was on an NCL cruise and they had biscuits and gravy and they were the worst I have ever eaten.

Don't know about the Breeze but the Sunshine had them when we were on there in October. And Ewwwwww. Tasted like wallpaper paste with onions and VERY little sausage. The biscuits were hockey pucks. I wanted to march into the kitchen and teach them how to make it right.

  8. I to was on this sailing and I felt it to crowded. We didn't get off the ship in Grand Turk just so we could have some time on the Serenity deck before all the places were taken. Also the traffic flow in the Lido buffet wasn't there. People just kind of wandered or stood around making it difficult to get from point A to point B. Other than that I enjoyed the trip but I don't see myself booking on this ship again.

  9. Just please make sure someone is with her all the time. When a person has dementia taking them out of their normal environment can make the problem worse and they can become a handful. Not sure exactly when, but there was a thread some years back on RCCL about an elderly couple. The wife had dementia and the husband left her on the ship alone. When he returned they were both debarked in Europe. Don't remember all the details, but she apparently left the cabin while he was off the ship and got into some sort of problems.
