Will we be able to see the Pittsburgh Steeler versus Kansas City playoffs this coming Sunday on Carnival Sunshine Caribbean cruise?

It should be playing in the sports bar. You *might* get lucky for it to play on the lido

I loved her! Great ship and we had an amazing time. The biggest issue we had was the comedy club. Expect to go the 2nd or last night or get in line EARLY! It's a small room and not many people fit.
Also, YTD dining. Showing up at 6:30-7:30 will probably earn you a wait on most nights...especially elegant night.

Breeze. I like bigger ships. THey have more hot tubs

She's small and older. Her serenity deck though is Amazing. Good position on the ship, loved the swinging beds. We actually took our dessert "to go" one night and had it up there watching the little islands float by on a Western Caribbean cruise. That was a very special memory
I do remember a sewage smell twice...from the whole week. But it wasn't bad enough to make me hate the ship.
People can be nasty in their reviews. Snobbish even. Like they're the king and everything must be perfect or the cruise was awful. It really all depends on your personality. If you see something you don't like, will you get horribly offended?

I got goosebumps and teared up. What a wonderful way to spend the New Year!

And yes Palm Beach is amazing. Places to swim and rent jet skis, Banana boat rides etc.

We did the city bus. For a family of 6, a cab does not work. Just walk out of the main port area, go STRAIGHT ACROSS the street and get tickets. The line can be long so don't be surprised if you have to wait a while. And have cash ready if you don't buy the round trip fare. Sometimes there are taxi vans that will stop at the bus stops and give you a cheaper rate (for the ride back)

The only time I've had an alarm go off was 3:30 for a "man overboard". That was no drill and the body was never found

Do you see To Do List?
It's not on my TO DO list either. It takes a while for it to load for some cruises

Go when it opens or go at 7'ish. Especially on formal night, it fills up fast. So if you go after 6:15 or so expect a good wait

Skip the ski lift chairs and just enjoy the free beach day. If you're fast enough you can get chairs in the shade for free

Hi, does the check in time apply if you have Faster to the Fun? I just looked for our April cruise and the first time available/offered is 12:30 to 1:00....seems kind of late to me.
If the boat docks at 10 AM, this would give the crew enough time to get everybody off and get that ship ready for embarkation.
1230 is just an early approximation that they think they can start letting people do the check in process.
And, If we got through the check in process exactly at the same time, you would board before me. Because platinum/diamonds and FTTF go first. But at least I'll be there shortly thereafter. If I walk fast enough, I may even be able to beat you on the ship LOL [emoji4][emoji4]

This is not boarding time...its check in time... Boarding will still not start until the ship is ready, and with the hour later coming in, it will probably be a boarding time of 12:30 to 1:30 to start. Most cruises in Baltimore would not start boarding until close to 12 before, now it will probably be later.
Yes....I know. In my excitement I chose the wrong word. Check in and boarding have little difference to me, as they are part and parcel of the embarkation process.
Kinda like when you have an appt with the doctor at one time, but you're told to arrive earlier than that. You never know when you'll really "see" the doctor, but at least you can get the preliminaries over with.

For those confused people like me, who have been wondering (FOR MONTHS) when they can choose a boarding time for the cruise, April 23rd is open for choosing
12:30 was the earliest I could choose

Hi fellow cruisers, will be on Vista in Feb. and would like to know at which of these ports; Grand Turk - San Juan - St Kitts - St Marteen, can I find free Wi-Fi and where is it found (beach, bar, restaurant?) Thanks!
Grand Turk -- go into the plaza area and find the milkshake/smoothie shop. And the wifi there was free in February 2016
St Marteen never did find free wifi.

Please help me understand. We have a suite book and carnival told me all perks fttf gets suite guest get plus earlier embarkation and debarkation. Please tell me what they are miss leading me on.
Thanks
They're not misleading you. That's all that suite guest get...besides a bigger room. If I remember the embarkation order correctly, you should go right before FTTF (after weddings, and diamond/platniums).

No ship rentals. You can rent in various ports. But I'm with the others, I just purchase mine and bring them. Amazon sells some decent sets for $60

Yes, I have been on many cruises, but I have never been on the Pride. I have found the temp on the Sunshine to be comfortable, but froze recently on the Magic. All ships are not the same. On the Liberty our balcony cabin was extremely warm, even after they brought us a fan, we couldn't sleep. Just wanted to know if the Pride had any newer slots. When we went on the Legend a few years ago they had refurbished the ship and had all the newest slots. I know the casinos are all usually smoky, as the smokers gather there to smoke, but I was hoping the Pride had good ventilation.
I'm with you. I froze on the Dream and Liberty in the shows and comedy lounge. But the Sunshine and Ecstasy were perfect.
But now the smoke on the Ecstasy was the worst I've ever encountered. It was overpowering even down to the back elevators. And usually it doesn't bother me that much. I enjoy walking through the casino and watching people play

Was the balcony view completely obstructed or just top or bottom.
Do you remember what time you got back into port? How long did debarkation take

Did anyone else get a letter today for the changed leaving and returning times for the Pride?
Says they will leave Baltimore at 5 pm. And return to dock at 10 am.
Why such a late return time?

Can you bring on a 12 pack of Coke on at each port? or just at embarkation port?
Embarkation only. Don't waste your money in port; it won't get past security.

so guava juice is avail at the MDR breakfast? hmmm,, how does that work again... I can't recall why we only go to the MDR on the last morning....
Sorry. I mis-wrote that. Guava is only in the lido for breakfast. But the orange juice taste better in The MDR

Yeah. I agree with the above response. It really just varies ship to ship. I have gone and checked on my kids at the main desk area which is mostly hidden from the kids' view.
Most of them have darker windows and curtains up that you can't see through them till at night.

Nassau Pier Capacity - How Many Ships At Once?
in Bahamas
Posted
I walked a half a mile from my room to the pier at Nassau. The last time I was there, the port had 6 ships. It took forever to walk that far
