Ok, good to know. I am not a fan of heights so the thought of the chairlift scares me a little. I saw that floats are rentable. We have 2 inner tubes packed along with a portable hand pump to inflate them. Most places don't seem to mind if you bring your own; I hope they don't mind either. :D

Hi schazzy. We're planning to to go the beach by the port in Roatan like you did. Can you give us any pointers on that? We've been to this port before but not to that beach. Also, do we have to take the chair lift or is it accessible by foot?

Thanks again for the review. Glad to hear muster went by quickly. I have a few more questions!
What time was muster? Did the ship leave the port on time? The Miracle is new to us. We sailed on the Paradise out of Tampa once. Really liked the port. Got to meet "Captain Carnival" who played music for us and kept us entertained while we waited to board. (The Paradise was late that day.)

I love hear about the ships we're about to board!
Did they have a White Party on your sailing?

I went on the Carnival website like I was booking a cruise on the Pride and selected an extended balcony room. It looks like there are 3 upright chairs and a table. Does not look much bigger than a regular balcony. We prefer the vista balconies because they have 2 loungers also.

Even thought FB live wont work on the ship, there may be places in some ports where you can get free wi-fi. I've never tried it, but maybe someone here could comment if FB Live would work in that scenario.

We sailed on the Paradise last year during Thanksgiving week.
My best advice for traveling with kiddos, is that when you dock in Grand Caymen, try to only take the tender boat to shore, once. We learned the hard way that it's not always a quick round trip back and forth to the ship. Our excursion in Sting Ray City was cancelled due to rough seas so we decided to take our snorkel gear back to the ship "real quick". It was not quick at all and we wasted an hour and a half doing that. That said, if you book an excursion anywhere, try to have a plan B in mind in case it gets cancelled. :)
As of today, Grand Caymen was the only place where I really liked the rum which is apparently specific to that location. The stores near the port do samplings of all different flavors. I regret not buying it because I haven't been able to locate that Tortuga Rum anywhere else on any cruise or in the states.
The ship is older and doesn't sport some of the upgraded features, but we had a wonderful time. The journey is what you make it. We had an excellent cabin steward and our wait staff was very accommodating despite one very boisterous and slightly obnoxious gentleman seated at our table. The only real downfall to our whole trip was the fact that we didn't leave the Tampa port until after dark due to a weather delay, but, we got to see the bridge that we sailed underneath all lit up at nighttime so that was pretty cool!

Thanks very much. It's sure to be a blast! :D

I was on this Conquest cruise too. We docked in Nassau at 7AM and back on board time was 3:30PM.
Ok. Thank you. Good to know. :)

Thank you for the review. Quick question for you, ScottsSweetie...
We ship out on the Conquest next week and have read about the Vista and Conquest missing the Amber Cove port. How long were you guys docked in Nassau? We're supposed to be in Amber Cove from 7-2 and are wondering if they change the port times if you go to a different port. :)

Just wanted to chime in here because I had issues staying connected to Wi-Fi when we were on the Magic back in May. I went to Guest Services and they told me it was my Android but then my DH and several of our group members were having the same trouble. I've had good luck with it on the Breeze, the Paradise, and the Pride though so maybe it was just a fluke. I like to get the social media plan.
The Magic is a great ship. We met lots of nice people on her.

Glad to hear they've added some items to the late-night pizza menu. Were the lines very long?
Any thoughts on the piano bar? Did the piano player draw a big crowd?
Best place to dance?
Did you see any of the shows? If so, what did you think?
Thanks in advance. We sail on her in 38 days. :D

Darn. I wish Roger would come back to the Pride.:(
Thank you!:)
Awww, we liked Roger, too. We sail on the Pride next year.

I hear ya! Only 1 of the 3 roll calls that I am on, is semi-active. The other two are relatively silent right now. We're heading to Alaska next year and I am eager for people to start talking about everything from 'what to do and where to stay in Seattle if you're flying in early' to 'do I really need to pack mittens?' I'm trying not to be the one who replies to each and every thread that gets started, whether it's on these rolls calls or the other site... but it's so difficult because, like you, I wanna talk about it! :D

I'm not a steak eater but I really enjoyed my meals at David's Steakhouse on the Pride. We booked it twice on one cruise. They took good care of us and made sure everything was to our liking.
That said, we haven't eaten at a steakhouse on a ship since that cruise which was our very first and we wanted to experience everything. We're pretty happy with the main dining room.

Finally got the pictures loaded and they are now ready for viewing. There are about 250 and they are on Snapfish. Many were taken during 3 Mayan excursions and one at a fancy resort. Also pictures taken on the ship. Just send me an E-mail and I will send you an invite for viewing. You don't have to join any thing if you don't want to. My E-mail is:
Awesome, will do! Thank you.

Hi Rich! Thanks so much for the review! We are really looking forward to our Magic cruise. Just have to get through 9 more days and then ahhhh vacation.
I think Flickr may do free photo hosting if you're still looking for a place to store and share photos.
Would love to see the Fun Times if you are able to post those.

I just got off the Magic this past Sunday. The cameras themselves are working fine (you can see them on your cabin TV) so for some reason the images are not being transmitted to the web address.
Good to know. The Magic cam was a really clear one. Not blurry like some of the older ones. :)

I am from Lancaster
You're a close neighbor! I hope they get the web cam fixed before your Magic cruise!

Me too!! We are on the same cruise. Are you on that "other social media" page? There is a group for our sailing. Also, I grew up and lived most of my life in PA. Grew up in Allentown, lived in Pittsburgh for a while also. where are you from?
Hello! Yep, I'm Sandy on the site that shall not be named. We're from York! :D

Hopefully soon. I am missing the 'daydreaming I'm' there part of my upcoming Magic cruise.
