Wow I can't believe that Southwest doesn't work out......we have used it many times on Carnival lines out of Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral......it works so nice....very smooth.
not sure about the not charging.....we always paid 20.00 per person, and that included 2 bags. Was very nice to set them out in the ships hallway and not see them again until we got to Chicago.

Does Disney Dream offer the baggage transfer directly to the airport for Southwest flights?
We have used this many times on Carnival and it is very handy for like $20 per person we don't see our luggage until we hit Chicago after we set it out in the hall night before we dock.

We are staying a couple days at the park before heading over to cruise....will we be able to get to ship early or are there set times for them to transport you from the park to the ship ?
-
Is that 2 bottles of wine per adult or per cabin?
-
We will give it a try.....we sail in April on the Dream and it has gone down a little.....we are currently paid in full.....so hopefully will get onboard credit or regular credit back.

Does Disney have any kind of price guarantee like Carnival ?
-
Yep uphill.....last time we tried to walk from the Riverside Hotel to the terminal we ended up on a parking ramp or something just outside the Riverwalk and it was an uphill slope that almost killed us dragging the luggage. won't do that again.

All good to know.....thanks

That's quite a hike with luggage.....guess we will take a cab

That's good to know......cruising with my son and DIL and he is very picky about his food....just plain old dishes for him....lol
Doesn't want a loaded baked potato.....just a baked potato!!!!

I read somewhere that there are no substitutes on the dining room menus......is that true.
For example, can you ask for baked potatoe instead of mashed, if both are on the menu, but your items states mashed....
Or can you also not have special sauces on your meats if the are listed?

Yes we have booked the shuttle already......thank you for the replies.
-
we are staying a couple days pre-cruise at WDW resort and then taking shuttle to the port......has anyone here done that and can explain the process?
Do we sign up somewhere for a shuttle at a specific time or is it first come first serve? do shuttles run often?
-
Has anyone taken the streetcar lately to the terminal?
everyday should be the same route.....correct ?
-
Very good info.....thank you so much

I've used the ones you roll the air out of for stuff like underwear and socks......stuff that I don't care if it wrinkles......works pretty good.

Insurance for our cruise is half what the cruise line wants.....
Do I have to buy cruise travel or just travel insurance....does it matter to the insurance company what our trip is ? cruise or land ?
-
We are hoping to do this cruise in March and your review is very entertaining.
Thank you

I will look again....closer :)

I can't find any Carnival cruise that is round-trip via Seattle. Have they stopped doing that one? We do NOT want to start and end in a different city.
Looked from Now thru 2017 !!!!!!!!!!!!

So as I hear it explained her then paying a extra $2000 premium doesn't bother anyone....you all feel that the money is recovered by a better cruise.
I hope that is true if we spend that kind of money :)
-
Ok many people in favor for sure......I was needing to justify the $2000 difference in price from Carnival Dream ( $1600 for balcony) to Disney ( $3600) for the 7 night cruise for 2 of us.........apparently most think it is worth it.
-
Thank you for the input.....sounds as though it would be worth it then.

We love Disney and the parks.....but have always cruise other lines. Would we enjoy a Disney cruise without kids enough to spend the extra dollars in comparison to other lines.
What is the attraction IF anything for adults.
Or is mainly that adults enjoy it because the kids are so entertained?

yes it was always GREAT to set bags out in hallway night before departing and never see them again till we hit Chicago...........was a relief to only carry the carry-on last day and all day traveling.
But that was Carnival and DISNEY doesn't offer it....so I guess we LUG everything this time.
Maybe it will make me pack lighter :)
