  1. We once had 120 mph winds in the BOB, category 1 hurricane, we missed our first port of call and at one point I did wonder what the hell I was doing putting myself through it, but after 3 days the storm disappeared and was soon forgotten, didn't put me off too much we have done another two since then, although I would never do BOB in October again :)

  2. Am I remembering correctly, when we docked in funchal in 2004 there was a boat service that took you from the dockside across the harbour to the town side. When we were there this year on Azura this service was no longer available.

  3. The balcony we had with an overhang got sun first thing in the morning and last thing at night, depending on which way the ship was sailing, lovely for room service breakfast and pre dinner drinks, we made use of ours at lunchtime too when it was too hot to sit out, it was a lovely shady spot. We often took food from the buffet and ate our lunch there.

  4. I was a bit concerned when we realized we had a cabin on lido deck and it had overhang, but I need not have worried , depending on which way the ship was travelling we had sun early morning or late evening, at midday when it was too hot to sit in the sun it was lovely sitting on our balcony in the shade eating our lunch. Being on lido deck was great short walk to all the pools and the buffet restaurants, there was a bit of noise overhead early morning where they were pulling out sunbeds. Very quiet in the evenings. Easy to get the lift down to dinner in the evenings. This was on Azura.
