Yes the games are shown on board subject to there being a satellite signal available, we missed an England match while docked in Tenerife because there was no signal .

Sundream, a Suncruises ship 2004, originally Royal Caribbean Song of Norway, no longer sailing I think she was scrapped last year.

Am I remembering correctly, when we docked in funchal in 2004 there was a boat service that took you from the dockside across the harbour to the town side. When we were there this year on Azura this service was no longer available.

Yes it's lovely on Azura, great food, amazing waiters and the weather was perfect so we had a table outside on the terrace overlooking the rear pool and the wake of the ship, we ate while the sun was setting it was beautiful :)

I have to say I like the St Petersburg one too, sorry I couldn't get them on here any larger I tried for ages.

The balcony we had with an overhang got sun first thing in the morning and last thing at night, depending on which way the ship was sailing, lovely for room service breakfast and pre dinner drinks, we made use of ours at lunchtime too when it was too hot to sit out, it was a lovely shady spot. We often took food from the buffet and ate our lunch there.

I was a bit concerned when we realized we had a cabin on lido deck and it had overhang, but I need not have worried , depending on which way the ship was travelling we had sun early morning or late evening, at midday when it was too hot to sit in the sun it was lovely sitting on our balcony in the shade eating our lunch. Being on lido deck was great short walk to all the pools and the buffet restaurants, there was a bit of noise overhead early morning where they were pulling out sunbeds. Very quiet in the evenings. Easy to get the lift down to dinner in the evenings. This was on Azura.

Suncruises was owned by Airtours/MyTravel I think they had 4 ships Sundream, Seabird, Carousel and Seawing, they don't exist anymore. http://www.simplonpc.co.uk/Airtours.html

We were in our cabin on Azura, deck 15 Lido , and the plane was level with our balcony on Starboard side, we had a good view of it but it probably looked closer than it actually was.
-
Oh I forgot it was on ITV, I think they just have satellite channels :(
-
Brodies bar has most major sports events on so long as the ship has a good satellite signal, if the weather is good it could possibly be on the sea screen outdoors on deck 15 too.

Thanks for the feed back guys, not being an aircraft expert I wasn't sure what type of plane it was, just knew I was loud and extremely close to our balcony.

Thanks Caroline, we didn't hear the anouncement just heard the noise and saw the jet, we had a lovely holiday, perfect weather and beautiful ship :)

Was anyone on Azura last week when the fighter jet flew past. We were in our cabin and it literally went straight past our balcony. Anyone know anything about it?

We once had 120 mph winds in the BOB, category 1 hurricane, we missed our first port of call and at one point I did wonder what the hell I was doing putting myself through it, but after 3 days the storm disappeared and was soon forgotten, didn't put me off too much we have done another two since then, although I would never do BOB in October again :)
