Thanks. That’s kind of you. I’m still recovering from my 65 night blog on Aurora’s Grand Voyage (and the pressure of it having over 250,000 views), so I’m delighted that @Megabear2 is holding the reigns on this one! I hope that she doesn’t mind me chipping in with my thoughts though?

250k Views!, your blog is obviously a lot more intersting than mine

  2. The TVs on QE will accept a USB stick so we generally take along a few movies/TV series to watch between our early evening trip to the Commodore Club and dinner, although we haven't watched any on the last few cruises, they were a godsend when quarantined with Covid.

The local time is displayed on the cruise Navigation page. CH 40 ?

    - Is there anything in particular to bear in mind about QV vs QM2? We're looking at a Forward balcony on the 8th floor as we had similar on QM2 and enjoyed that location.

    Thanks in advance!

Also have a look at the Deck 4 balcony cabins (fore have a solid balcony and aft glass) these balconies are larger than the ones on the higher decks and very convenient for the theatre, MDR etc

I presume this is just a jug of tap water?

I assumed it was from the same source as the water served in the MDR, I don't know if this is "general ship's water" or special filtered drinking water - Either way Jane was fine with it, I don't drink during the night so never tried it.

I would assume it is a hiccup, but, if it is very important to you, I would transfer to another ship, because who knows? There is no All bran for breakfast, or, if it is on board, they haven’t found it yet. My husband, who likes, it, is coping.

If it's a hiccough, then it's one that gets repeated. We had exactly that selection on the Cruise to Nowhere post Covid

  6. A little reminder for the copious water drinkers, in Britannia, without the Drinks Package is that Room service will provide a jug of Iced water on request that can then be put in the fridge - something we only discovered recently

Sorry that menu is not up to date. Spirits are in 1oz and 2oz measures. Small wine is 150ml.

Since around last summer spirits changed to 25ml and 50ml measures, and small wines are now 175ml.

It's from 15th October, but feel free to post a more recent one - It was only intended as a guide - my point about the drinks package is it's not very good value, unless you can consistently drink 7 drinks per day, which I couldn't and even less value if you have a half decent amount of OBC

  8. Re: The drinks package, here's a fairly recent Chart Room drinks menu from QV to give you an idea of the prices (all are +15% gratuity) - I've toyed with the idea of a drinks package, but I would really struggle to make it pay - I could easily drink enough on a given day, but not every day, each to their own though. For our 14 night cruise the drinks package is $2016 for the two of us

QM2 has two levels to the dining room. For all its size, I haven't found the Britannia restaurant to be too noisy.

We were back in Briannia for a short cruise last September, I'd forgotten what a nice "vibe" the restaurant had compared to the Grills.

  10. Looking at that menu and reading some of the recent QM2 reviews, I struggle to see how people find the food boring and tasteless on board - I know food is subjective, but I'd happily order everything one that menu except goats cheese tart, since that is the work of the Devil

  11. I'm not sure it would, Whispering Angel was included in the Commodore's wine package, and those wines tend to be in excess of $60 per bottle or $15 for a medium glass. I've just had a look at the chart room menu from last year on QE and it looks to be just outside the limit for a small glass
