Love Carnival but had to branch out to see Europe. Wish Carnival would follow the likes of other companies and have ships over there permanently. Cannot wait for my NCL Baltic cruise next year.

Save yourself some money and book with a private company. You'll get, at minimum, the same if not better experience.

I have used TAs in the past but fail to see an advantage. I have for years now booked directly with Carnival. Any ? you have will be answered by Carnival and adjustments are made while you are on the phone. How can you beat that?
Costs me at least $200 less when I use my TA versus booking with carnival. Good advantage for me. Question? I can call my TA and get it answered while on the phone. Don't know about you but I like my money.

I believe day 2 is the latest. Just get changed from that point on. Did it last year when we ran out of smuggled booze

Why the drama you ask? Simple. This is cruisecritic! Minus the occasional helpful nugget, it is mostly people complaining about one thing or another (see tablecloths, why my diaper wearer can't be in the pool, etc).

This happened to me! Well, we had insurance, but I got sick just before. Get your friend to the dr for a shot and antibiotics to speed up the recovery if possible

This is horrible advice. Antibiotics are only effective in fighting bacteria. Head colds are the result of a viral infection. Antibiotics will do nothing. It is thinking like this that is causing the antibiotic resistant bacteria surge.

I flew in from Madrid about 6 hours after the shooting happened. My Saturday flight wasn't cancelled until about ten hours prior. Found a cheap flight out of Orlando and made the trip up. Bad things happen OP. There were plenty of options for you, unlike the people who never left FLL alive.

My young adult daughter was on a 3 day music cruise and just got to the airport, where she discovered SHE LEFT HER WALLET IN THE ROOM. I am ready to scream! She needs her license! She called Norwegian and they told her they would have info for her *after the next sailing*. WHAT? I found the number for the lost & found and she is on hold now. She needs to go back and get this today...anyone have any advice or suggestions? This is a disaster
As far as vacation/airport related incidents that have happened lately, I wouldn't call this a disaster.

I see you are new to CC. It's against the rules to correct spelling or incorrect usage.
Calm down wannabe modzi.

Would the song from the Poseidon Adventure be okay? :p
Maybe. Everyone knows it is the music that keeps the ship afloat.

There was a pretty heated thread about 6 months back discussing the new $10 kids menu in the Steakhouse. A lot of people indicated that they would no longer enjoy a meal there. Our boys are now 18 and 12 (he will be 13 in March) and we have decided that on the last night of the cruise we will all enjoy the Steakhouse. I for one am happy to see this menu because we are working on broadening his palette, but at 12, he cannot handle the sheer volume of food from the steakhouse and will enjoy the smaller 4 oz filet, while still being able to sample from the rest of us.
Go ahead and flame me if you like for taking my almost teen - but I am confident he is mature enough. What I really want to know if anyone has been and can report bad behavior of kids, in light of this new menu. I have seen first hand the poor behavior of adults in what "should" be a quiet, refined and relaxed atmosphere.
What's the point of this thread? Comparing a 12yr old to a 6 month old is idiotic. I remember the thread from ago. The main issue people had was with parents not knowing when to remove their child and instead just letting them be bratty snots.

After 13 cruises with Carnival over the past 15 yrs, we have a simple question of what's the cost/penalty fees if we have to change one person for another in our balcony stateroom.
Can't get a hold of my TA all day, so figured we can call Carnival's 800# to ask the simple question.
Well, not so simple. Spoke to 3 reps, all the way up to Supervisor, all said that they can't give me the "simple" answer since I booked through the TA. It's against Carnival's policy to give me any answers without TA's permission.
Would take One minute to answer, rather 10 minutes to repeat that they can't answer my question.
Never been so frustrated, figured in today's Tech & online world, the TA are virtually gone from airlines, hotels, & other travel agencies. As a customer, calling directly into Carnival, figured they could give me a simple answer without much hassle...
Why do you need two threads to talk about the same thing?

Perhaps your TA charges a fee and the fact that you are in penalty phase. It's always a good idea to ask these questions of your TA BEFORE booking. There are many different rates that Carnival has and not all TAs are well versed on the ins and outs of them. I thought maybe you were booked under ES which in that case, name changes aren't allowed, but some have reported success both with and without the $50pp fee. That sounds like a question for your TA. They need to break it down for you.
Why do Airlines not allow name changes at all?
Nope

I can save a few hundred dollars by booking elsewhere. No PvP is worth that.

Get there when you want to, but probably don't need to be any earlier than 1030-11.

Do not book a guarantee room. You will be sorry afterwards. This should be a relaxing experience not a nightmare!

I've booked a gauranteed cabin a couple times and have had no issues. I've also read about many people doing the same and having no issues. You should avoid making blanket statements that aren't always true.

Happy Saturday, ALL!:D:D
How old do you have to be to gamble in the casinos? Is it 18 or 21?
I know here in CT, it's 21, but wasn't sure if the ships were different.
Thanks!!:D
Old enough to pull the handle old enough to gamble per Carnival. http://*******/4kb77v
