Where can I find the candied ginger?
Trader Joe's, Asian grocers, bulk aisle in larger grocery stores (this would be candied ginger used in baking, rather than individually wrapped ginger candy chews) and Amazon has tons of options...

There is a trick to using more than one device.
Google "Connectify" and download that free program. It will allow you to rebroadcast your internet connection to other devices for free. This also works at hotels, on airplanes, or anything else that only allows one device to be connected at a time. I use it, and it works.

Pokerpro - do you know if there is an alternative that would work with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad or MacBook)?
Or... is it as simple as turning an iPhone into a hotspot?

The ginger beer on the Escape was Goslings. The mojito you're referring to at the Sugarcane bar was great, and the heat came from Ancho Reyes chile liqueur. An even better one was the Toro Toro at the Food Republic made with tequila.
Thanks!!

Wow - great spreadsheet WWDiver!
Anyone know what brand ginger brew CL uses?
Or what makes the Spicy Passion Mojito spicy?
My favorite is an extra spicy mule. Our neighborhood pub makes an infused vodka with rosemary, peppercorns and garlic. We request that infused vodka in the mule... It doesn't taste like any of the infused flavors, just extra spicy and it's great!

Generally speaking (or very specific experiences!), when have VGT rates become available on Panama Canal cruises? I know that IGT/OGT/VGT usually start 120 days before sail date, but I'm looking specifically for VGT. Thanks for any insight!!
Also, do the rates IGT/OGT/VGT change as it gets closer to the sail date?

Is there any particular private tour company you would recommend or is taking a taxi simple enough? Is there any language barrier to consider? We are thinking of doing something other than the NCL sponsored excursions if possible. Thanks for any tips you can provide.
;)
we looked into going with patrick, but ncl isn't in stanley long enough. we booked the following tour through ncl. nicely, i just read today that it has won an international award for the best shore excursion... makes me feel better about paying the high ncl price!

urquie, using jasonflk's info and other previous postings we decided the Lagoon Bluff tour by NCL was the Bluff Cove Tour... For some photos of this tour by another NCL Sun cruiser see:
paul - thank you so much for the info and links! we've just signed up for the ncl tour. :) the pics made the decision very easy!

A very different reason to buy insurance - Need help
in Cruise/Travel Insurance
Posted
After researching travel insurance through a number of different sources, I went with a company recommended here, on the cruise/travel insurance forum (listed under cruise discussion topics). Steve from tripinsurancestore dot com specifically asked me questions similar to yours, when helping me choose the right insurance for our family. That wasn't an issue for us, so didn't follow up on it, but it was certainly on his radar. Perhaps you would need "cancel for any reason insurance?"
