the last time I was on an NCL ship they had lemonade in the Buffet Restaurant. Also, there alwasy someone Walking around where you can order a drink.

Still water is also always available

so you are only "panicing" because auf the cabin or the trip in General?

I assume that some other Family members were onboard.

Otherwise the cruise line would have been forced to debark the poor Kids as children are not allowed to sail alone by law and the cruiseline would have had no other choice to give the Kids to the local authorities.

Is the Age of the Kids known?

might have been that they worked on the sailing and therefore had to Close sailing or categories for some time.

on my very first cruise on the "Marco Polo" (a present for my mom) we just had finished the main course and the waiter asked us what we would like for Desert.

I was so full from the meal I was not up to any desert so I said to him "I want nothing"

An I got "nothing"

The rest of table got their plates and I got one as well and thought already "Oh no, I can not eat anything"

The kitchen was so sweet, they had a plate for me with chocolate Sauce written "Nothing" on it

That was a really suprise and made me smile

I'm in Miami in Oktober and had the Getaway planned (30Oct)

The Getaway has deffinately the better Itinerary but the Escape has some Features that the Getaway doesn't and now I'm torn.

I don't mind Walking a bit.

as per maps, it's about 20 minutes to Lincoln road by foot.

Also there are busses, so I'm open to almost everything

I Need some suggestions where to eat.

Due to Jetlag I will be up very early and tried early ;)

I'm travelling by myself and look for a nice place to have breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Not to upscale as I don't like to sit alone in a fancy Restaurant :-(

Being from Germany, and going to the US I don't pack any toiletries (besides my toothbrush)

I get those at a pharmacy.

Also, the Hotels usually have shampoo etc anyway.

Safes a lot of Kilos ans space in my suitcase (which I Need for the Shopping :D )

I would do the from Vancouver. You can do pre and post progam.

If you are not sure, go with the ports they do and what glaciers they go to and then deceide

for the dietry Need, they will take good care of you. In regards of the activities, there is a lot for your Kids to do. So far as I heard the Kids clud is great. I don't have Kids myself but your hear People talk :)

In preperation for this cruise I found out about this Group and went onto the site and there are no Studios left anymore. Also, I got a very good deal for an inside cabin :D

So I guess we meet in the Studio Lounge. I'm exited. Will be my first Halloween Cruise. Already thinking what kind of costume to bring :confused:

from experiance would it be better to have a Hotel at the Airport for that Weekend to get around or is downtown OK as well (near bayside).

I saw there will be a big big solo traveller Group from Vacations to go.

I did not book through them and now I fear that other Solo traveller will "stay" within that Group. As per their web site you can only participate on their gatherings/activities you have to book through them.

I don't mind travelling alone but with the Studio concept I was looking Forward to that mingle with fellow solo travellers :(

yes, don't Need the make a Reservation. The Advantage of cruising with NCL is that you can have Dinner whenever you are up to.

the sad thing is, that it needs to be proofed because of People just wanting to take their pets.

I worked for an Airline and we sometimes had People that needed to fly out the next day due to a death in the Family. They would get those rules banded that for cheaper tickets you need to book early (eg 21 days prior or so)

Unfortunately we had to ask them for proof of the death or a medical note saying the sick Person is in Hospital and is dying.

It's very hard to "demand" such a thing, but you have those people that just use every line to get something cheaper etc and the Persons that really has a reason has to "suffer"
