  1. Many Thanks.

Nope. Still not working here. After logging in OK and clicking on any of the buttons ,Drinks, Excursions or whatever it goes to a white page with a loading timebar looking like it's doing something for 5 secs than I get dumped onto a blank screen with the message.

And I'm now also getting this at the bottom of the message -

Unexpected Error: Error thrown from: class com.rccl.pcp.gateway.reference.impl.PackagesGatewayImpl :

Think I may have to Email RCCL.

  2. Anyone in the UK having a problem accessing their cruise planner?

We're on the Navigator 31st March and we've been trying to make some dinner reservations, check excursions etc but we just keep getting bounced onto this page --

    Well, this is unfortunate.

Here you are trying to plan a vacation and our website decides to take one.

We are aware of the issue and are currently working to fix it. Please try again later and sorry for the inconvenience.

Been like this for 2 or 3 days now.

    Anyone else getting this message?

    Cheers

  3. We are in the UK and due to sail out of Miami on the Navigator in March. I have just spoken to RCCL on the phone and they advised that the $10 upgrade fee is no longer available and has since been changed. The cost to upgrade our Select package is now $17 /day inc 18% grats.

I have since emailed for written confirmation and will report back if I hear any different.

  4. Is the drink package being included such a great deal?

Out of curiosity I just ran some prices on a cruise out of Miami on the Navigator 31st March 2017.

On the USA RCCL website I can book a D3 - 6546 (pre selected) and the total cost , including the BOGO offer is $3071 (£2162)

The exact same stateroom on the UK website comes in at £2201 BUT it also includes a select drinks package ($42 /day x 9 = $378 x 2 = $756)

$700 less than the current US price?

  5. Not sure if this is relevant to all cruises but on the Rhapsody sailing in the Med a couple of weeks a go they did a "Port Special" 30% off on all specialty restaurants. This happened on day 6 out of the 9 nights.

We already had the 4 meal package that we purchased on board , the price being exactly the same as the one posted earlier ie 3 -$70, 4-$85, 5-$100.

The 30% off night was whilst we were in Malta so we booked in at Izumi. Got a great table looking aft and enjoyed a very memorable meal with a great view of the sailaway.

The package included a $25 credit towards the bill and we already had a Premium drinks package . So with the 30% discount that night, our bill for such a memorable evening came to exactly $2 !!! (plus a discretionary tip)

  6. Actually. Going back to the original topic (serious mode on)

Does anyone else not find it a bit weird that there was absolutely no mention of the "incident" in the press?

I mean , it was a bit of a serious thing. Thank the Gods , it could have a whole lot worse. The crew dealt with it admirably (well, apart from the fact the whole ship lost all of its scheduled daily maintenance , like cleaning windows etc - tbh we couldn't see out of our panoramic floor to ceiling window after that stormy night but for the salt stains running down it - we didn't moan or complain - because we're British and we have manners, and understanding , and all of that)

Do find it a bit odd that nothing was mentioned though.

Did those affected have to sign disclaimers or something?

    Curious.

  7. Can't say I remember all that much 'bout the announcements

    But I do clearly remember

    "Alpha,Alpha, Alpha - Deck 3 "repeated a couple of times at 4am...

    Then, A few minutes later..

"Bravo Bravo Bravo - Deck 3"..

I was bit like.. Hey.. What's up??

    We sinking???

I'd lay awake most of the night, imagining the worst.. as you do...

  8. Ah yeah. Edelweiss. The Main Dining Room. First night in there on our cruise last week was borderline comical. 20 minutes for bread to arrive. Another 20 for water ( we had to ask) Orders taken after another 15. Starter arrived after another 20. Wine another 15. Main course another 30. We skipped desert.

I'm a patient soul mostly , but this was a real test. We were not alone either.

  9. We were on the Rhapsody last week and upgraded our (free) Select package to Premium for $15 per day and 'm glad we did. The wine list has a very limited choice when ordering by the glass. 2 or 3?

We made the most of it. Had some lovely wines with dinner (2 or 3 glasses each) then a Grey Goose and a Remy Martin (or 2 or 3) after dinner. We covered the cost of the upgrade in one round.
