  1. We have cruised with our children since they were 9 months and 6 months (they are now almost 6 and almost 2) we love it! I just wanted to chime in about two things. We never brought a blow up bath tub for either, we just got both of them used to the shower head at home. That way we didn't have to worry about the blow up tub taking up room in the cabin.

As far as the nursery, we love the nursery we take advantage of it almost every night of the cruise. And occasionally during they day. You sign up when you get onboard. You are allowed to book I believe it's 16 hours at the start of the cruise and then after I believe day 3 you can book as much as you want as long as there is availability.

We don't get out much at home so we normally feed our kids at the buffet, take them to the kids programs and then we have late seating dinner. So that we can catch up and have some adult conversations.

I will also say we have almost always had a good reception to our kids onboard, but like others have said we always try to be respectful to those around us and if one is having any issues we took them to a quiet place to calm down and then return to what we are doing.

If you leave the baby onboard in the nursery during an excursion, there will not be a way for them to get ahold of you. So it's up to you if you feel comfortable doing that. We have done it a few times but only when we would be gone from the ship for a few days and not an all day excursion.

    Hope this helps!

  2. I have a summer infant 3D lite that we still use with our almost 2 year old. It's great for cruising. Has a small basket which we use to throw a few diapers and wipes as we go around the ship. It reclines which is great for nap time. I think we got ours from Amazon. You can definitely get it for under 100 dollars.

  3. Sabor is our favorite restaurant. I don't know what menu shows up, but the menus on Navigator and freedom are larger than the menu on Allure. So keep in mind there may be additional items other than what you are seeing if it is showing you the al a carte menu.

Also we LOVE the guac from Sabor. When we cruised on allure we ended up getting Guac almost every night before dinner, so to each their own.

  4. I agree with what the others have posted. I also take some baby orajel in case my little one has any issues with teething during our trip. I haven't had to use it thankfully, but i think it is worth the piece of mind.

  5. We are sailing on Allure in a few weeks, but have sailed on many other RCL ships with our children. My oldest DD was 9 months for her first cruise. At 2 years old, your daughter would go to the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery on board. There is an hourly fee. Both of my girls have loved going there, and the staff has always been fantastic. On the first day of your cruise the nursery will have an open house where you can meet some of the staff, and also book your reservations. I think we have always been allowed to book 20 hours and only one formal night to start, and then depending on what their schedule looks like you may be able to add more time. Hope this helps.
