  1.  Oof- I agree! My husband was not thrilled at all. We had to take other people too guest services. Now, we have learned to make sure all of our reservations are linked and decline upgrades.  To be fair to the cruise line, this happened when we booked balcony guarantee cabins.

It sounds like a complimentary upgrade may have been what happened to you We have been on many cruises and have never had our cabin change. I think it is in all of the cruise lines fine print that your cabin can be changed without notice.  I think I've only heard of it happening when they think they are giving you an upgrade.

  2. Sorry, never heard of any of these.  We have been to Roatan 12 times.  We met Rony of Ronystours on our first visit.  He's awesome.  We have him booked again for October.  We've been on 60+ cruises.  We've done MANY independent tours on many islands.  We have traveled with our family of 4 and we have traveled with large groups.  I'm super picky about my excursions.  There are probably only 5 tours/guides that I recommend to others.  Rony is one of them!

  3. We were at Paradise Beach in Cozumel last month.  There was definitely seaweed.  It made the water murky.  They did their best scooping and raking it.  Although we love the crystal clear water, it certainly didn't ruin our day.

  4. I think the dining time depends on the category you book.  Bella has lowest priority, for example.  I know there were people dining at 9:30 on our sailing.  That would also be too late for us.  I know we had the same concern.  They said it could only be addressed once on board.  You don't find out your dining time until you get your cruise card.  Sorry I can't be more help.

  5. Sorry - he uses cooldavetours@yahoo.com.  I with I could edit my review.  He is a great guy - we will use him in the future for sure!  You will hear back from Keron - he makes all of Daves arrangements.

  6. Without a doubt, IMHO, Roatan is best.  There is a fabulous reef that you walk out to - West Bay.  I recommend making arrangements with Ronystours.  Rony will make sure you have a great day.  The reef has an amazing channel with gorgeous reef walls on either side of you.  Lots of huge parrotfish.

  7. We always use Rony's - GREAT guy!.  He and Bodden offer similar tours at similar prices.  I compare Bodden to Walmart and Rony to the local corner store.  Rony is a kind person and gives back to his community.  Every tour is important to him.  We've always had reliable, friendly service from him.  Great day every time!!!

  8. We have used Ronystours.com for many years.  Email him.  He may have others headed that way.  I wouldn't trust just any driver.  Rony is very trustworthy and all-around great guy.

  9. We actually got the bowling for $25 since we took the spot of a last minute cancellation.  Asked for free shoes - got them.

If you haven't booked excursions yet, I highly recommend Stingray Sailings in Grand Cayman.  We've used them many times.  So nice to be able to spread out on a beautiful catamaran.  When we arrive at the sandbar, we feel bad for the people crammed on other tour boats and ship excursions.  Stingray Sailing prices are the same or cheaper and they provide amazing service.  We were sure to get off the ship on an early tender so we could get to the sandbar asap.  We had 1 1/2 hours to spend at the gorgeous 7 mile beach at the end of the day.

Also, in Jamaica, we always tour with Cool Dave.  He has nice vehicles and is all-around a great guy.  Last week we did Dunn's and Secret Falls/Blue Hole and had a fabulous day!  The kids climbed Dunns Falls twice, while we took our time relaxing under some falls and taking lots of pics. So nice to set your own pace.

  10. I would prebook with Crescencio(Black Hat) for sure.  We were there last week.  We recommended Punta Sur to some people we met.  They got a taxi at the pier.  We were surprised because they were not happy with the beach.  They showed us their photos.  The taxi driver did not take them the entire way to Punta Sur, but dropped them at a small beach instead.  The road is long and bumpy so he probably didn't want to drive the whole way.  He also said he would be back at a certain time and was very late.  They were panicking because they had no cell phones to call anyone.  It's a long walk to the entrance if you get stranded.

I highly recommend Crescencio.  He will take you to the amazing beach at Punta Sur and stay with you for the day.  This is the best option.  You can decide when you'd like to leave and he will be there to accommodate your schedule.

We were there on a land vacation last year and my sister's family was involved in a car accident.  They were not seriously injured, but it would have been a mess if they had been driving a rental car.  We travel extensively and rent cars almost everywhere we travel.  However, we have heard many stories of people slamming on their brakes, purposefully trying to be hit by tourists with rental cars.  Maybe sometime we will rent a car, but for now, we prefer Crescencio.
