Some fun facts I learned at today's q & a: There are 2065 guests this sailing. There are 1900 expected on the Panama Canal crossing. Around 175 b2b but she couldn't remember the exact number. And one not so fun fact: Masks will be required indoors on the next sailing because of the length of the cruise.

Not satisfied with my steak i went up to Lido for some broccoli which is my secret weapon for filling my belly for not a lot of calories. They had Kung poa chicken at chopsticks which is a big weakness so I got a small plate of it to go with ny broccoli and a shrimp wonton. It was all so good I wish my brunch experience could be this good. I also got some dessert my favorite of all the cakes the chocolate peanut butter cake. The chocolate extravaganza has returned and there were a lot of tempting items to choose from but I resisted except for my one piece of cake. Lido lunch menu.

36 minute wait for a table but my original assessment was correct- I did not starve. I see a new thread started about the same thing I was going to point out, the brunch menu has been scaled back quite a bit. A number of items are missing and the pay section has been expanded and of course the hours reduced. I still look forward to brunch but they have definitely taken a popular favorite on carnival and reduced it to the point of being almost unrecognizable. Happy to see the yogurt parfait still on the menu. I ordered the steak and eggs many times when it was filet and it was always bad. To me the loss of filet is no loss because that was the worst filet I've ever had and it was consistently bad. So for research I ordered the new version today. I really wanted to enjoy this so I could say to all the complainers about the missing filet how good this was. But nope - hard hard pass will not order again it was that bad. I am also happy to see my cheese grits still available I imagine if you put heaven in a bowl it would taste like those yummy cheese grits 😋.

Questions about Mardi Gras for February

That would definitely be an issue. I've always been able to reach the ports. Op should probably just bring something to plug into sounds like the TV will be a no go on Mardi Gras. -

In my experience it is not the ports that are disabled. There is just no way to switch the TV input to those ports with the remote provided so you will need to bring your own universal remote. Of course I have never been on this ship so can't say if that is true or not in this instance but in my experience they do work despite their website saying they are disabled. -
For a starter I got the crab cake. For my mains I ordered the filet mignon amd the teriyaki salmon. The salmon dish was the only iffy item of the meal. It was perhaps under the warmer for too long still tasted better than it looked but it was a little dried out. For dessert I got the grand mariner soufflé and the key lime mousse.

Dinner was great other than the drunk guy at the next table. He was slamming his drinks pretty fast. He was an older guy so I figured he could handle his liquor. When he mistook me at the next table for his wife and started rubbing my shoulders I knew he in fact could not hold his liquor 😂🤣......I'm a 5ft 11 261lb dude so those were some serious beer goggles he had on 🤠Dinner menu.

The rest of the afternoon I spent relaxing and getting my steps in. Now I'm getting ready for dinner. Formal night #1 was the only night that had a wait for dinner and there is a wait again although not as bad. 10-20 minite wait according to the app. Not too bad will pit in a request a little bit early to adjust.

I will definitely look into that if I decide to go that route. I wasn't gonna mention it since sometimes I get wild ideas and don't follow through....but I'm thinking about taking a seasonal job here next summer. Still doing my research and maybe I'm just caught up in the beauty of it all and when I come down from my Alaska high I'll change my mind but I'm definitely considering it.

I had about an hour and a half after the tour before all aboard time so I tried to seek out a local spot for some lunch. As I expected all the hot spots had a line out the door and I didn't k ow if I had enough time. I saw a small stand on the dock so I stopped there bit it was cash only whoch I didn't have on me and the prices were more than I wanted to pay so I stopped at the stand next door grabbed a bubble tea and came back in the ship for lunch. I'm back on the ship now and about to head up to the Lido for some lunch.
