Who did you book the stingray excursion through?
-
We're considering booking a cruise 10/19 OR 10/26
If you've cruised during that time, how is it? We'll be going to Belize and Roatan OR Jamaica/Caymans. Is one a better itinerary than the other in the Fall?

If we go back to Belize, we want to visit Caye Caulker. If you go, let me know how it turns out!

In Belize, we did a mission trip and collected school supplies for 50 students. A guide took us to visit the local schools and deliver the supplies. In Cozumel, we went to Mr. Sanchos. It was all inclusive and the food was delicious. In Honduras, we booked with Bodden tours. For about $50 pp, we had a private guide who took us on a tour of the island, took us to do some shopping for souvenirs made by the locals on a mountaintop, took us to eat local cuisine, took us to the chocolate factory, took us to the sloth farm and then ended the day at a beach. It was awesome!

Basically a newbie. My husband and I have been on one cruise and it was in 2011. We are thinking about doing a 7 day western Caribbean cruise for our family vacation this year. It will be my kids first cruise. They will be 9 and 11.
* What's changed since 2011 that I need to know?
* The boat we are looking at is the Glory out of New Orleans
* Looking at May Dates
* Ports would be Cozumel, Belize and Mahogany Bay
* The one excursion my son wants to do is the ATV in the jungle. Anyone know if there is an age restriction on this one?
In Honduras, use Victor Bodden and do the sloth farm. They offer much more, but that is the highlight. My 14 yr old said it was the best part of the whole cruise!

Please, please, please, don't let me or anyone else distract you from booking whatever you want. You may go there and find that you love the place (as many do). Some just like hanging out by the ocean and being served food and relaxing. That makes a wonderful cruise port for them. I'm the total opposite. I love being active and if there's things to do I'm all for it or if I have to relax, I want it to look like paradise. 😄 If there's snorkeling, even better for me.
I just don't want you getting too excited about thinking it's one way and then it's really not what you expected. That's what happened to us when we went there.
Maya Chan is another place that comes highly recommended on here. It's an awesome place to go and hang out. They pamper you to no end and there's plenty to do there. However, it's a little ways down from these places and...once again, the water is sea grass and almost murky looking brown. That's the ONLY thing we didn't like about it.
We went to Almaplena, even further down and it was HEAVEN. It's the beautiful water you think about when you are in the Caribbean. Simply perfect.
It is a 20 minute drive one way instead of the 5 minute drive to the Malecon. People who cruise with Carnival usually won't consider this place since they don't have as much time in Costa Maya as others.
How did you get to Almaplena? How much time did you get to spend there and still make it back to the ship?

We bought a candle on our cruise earlier this year. They gave it back to us the last night of the cruise.

Highly recommended Bodden Tours. For $40 pp, we were given a private tour of interesting sites on the island. We were able to do some shopping for homemade goods, taste chocolate at one of the local shops, eat local cuisine, go to the Sloth/Monkey place and spend several hours at Bananarama Beach Resort (with lounge chairs and free wi-fi). Francisco was our guide. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I would use Bodden Tours again if returning to the area.

I'm sure it's been asked, but there are SO MANY threads to dig through, so I'm just going to start a new one!
Ports of call: Cozumel, Roatan, Belize.
We'll be there in April. I already have my dress for formal night. So, what else should I pack?
Absolute minimum is fine for me. I have no desire to haul a bunch of luggage. Lol.

Chankanaab or Punta Sur??
Details: April on Carnival Breeze. 4 adults, a 13 yr old boy and a 9 month old.
Looking for: something to keep the whole group entertained. Lol.
Interests: live music, snorkeling (even though we've never been!), gorgeous beach, good food (and authentic!), lounging (hubby had knee surgery 6 months ago), shopping, culture. Need not include every single one of the mentioned interests, just giving ideas of what we like.
Bonus: food included (if that's an option at either). Even better if there is an "unlimited" choice so we don't have to constantly pull out money to buy food!
Also: Is it possible to do one of these parks and still go to the Mercado? Are they anywhere close to each other?

Thanks for the info!Wow!! I had no idea Henry Morgan offered day passes. They are one of the original AI resorts on the island complete with chartered flight from Milan with heaps of Italians. The place always seems chock a block with people, loud music and partially clad humans. Mind you this is only what I noticed walking up and down the beach I have never stayed at Henry Morgan..

I'm asking about day passes. One of the excursion places gave us a quote including day passes to Henry Morgan. Are you asking about a land vacation on a cruise forum?Or has Henry Morgan started offering day passes?

Just any information. Is that a good location? Is it noisy or quiet? How much motion do you feel there? Etc...What are you interested in understanding about this specific stateroom? What are your concerns or questions?Sent from my LG-M153 using Forums mobile app

My daughter, her hubby and their 9 month old daughter will spend their 1st cruise in cabin 2210 on the Carnival Breeze.
Any of you ever sailed in this cabin?
It's pretty much at the every front of the ship on deck 2. It was assigned to them.

I will do that now! Thanks!Check with Comfort Inn and Suites in Texas City. It is about 15 miles from the port and usually quite reasonable abt $85. It is fairly new and very clean. Breakfast in the morning included.Sent from my LG-M153 using Forums mobile app

Having a hard time finding an affordable hotel that weekend. There's a crawfish festival going on the same weekend our cruise leaves!

I am currently in the ER. It's always so difficult to know when your pain needs to be investigated further. Since I have chronic pain, it's hard to differentiate between what's already going on and what's new.
About to have an ultrasound to rule some other stuff out, but the NP said she hopes it's just a Baker's Cyst.

Suggestions for Itinerary

We will be going to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the Vista (May 2020)
What are your favorite excursions and how did you book them? I'd like to get a head start!
We've sailed before, but not this Itinerary and not on the Vista. Anything we should put on our "definitely do" list?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
