  1. I believe if you hit gold during the cruise they go ahead and give you your perks. My understanding on the US port situation is they're scheduled to meet about it in June, so your cruise won't be affected. Have fun!!!

  2. It's been about a year and a half since my last cruise, but we always had a health form that printed out with our documents. I sail out Sunday, so I printed out our documents last night and there was no health form. Searched all over the my booking page and couldn't find a link. Do they not require us filling that out anymore?

When you log in, on the left side it shows the itinerary.  There is an arrow by each day.  When you click the arrow, it will show that you have an activity and the time.  If you click underneath the itinerary where it says view entire calendar, it will take you to a page that shows the name of the excursion with the time.  Alternatively, you can click at the top where it says Booking & Order details.  That will show all your cabins, in cabin beverages, photo pkgs, excursions, etc.  Plus, it shows the end time of the excursion.  Or, you can click at the top where it says Planner & it will take you to the same page the the View Entire Calendar link takes you.  It's just different & takes a little getting used to the new navigation.

My point was it used to be all on one page instead of having to go to two different pages to see port arrival/departure times and excursion start/end times. I can still find them, it's just less convenient than the previous page setup they were using.

We haven't booked any excursions with the new format yet, so I can't help you there. But it does show your itinerary. On mobile, just tap the "View My Itinerary" drop-down menu about a third of the way down from the top. On a computer, the itinerary is displayed along the left hand side of the Cruise Manager page. On there, each day has its own little drop-down menu to view details.

I saw that, but thanks. It used to show if you had booked an excursion for that port what time the excursion started and ended as well as arrival to port and leaving port.

We used the 'link another booking' option to link us with our friend for dining.

Her ENTIRE booking showed up in our cruise manager detailing her balance, monies paid, etc. You only need someone's booking number and last name to totally access their booking.  I have options to add/subtract grats, make payments, and even cancel their booking!!

I can't think this is good.

😱 yikes!!!! Definitely not a good thing!!! Get it together Carnival!!!

  6. I hate the new format! I look up our booking on my phone, but my Aunt used her laptop today to look at it because she wanted to see what time we arrived at port and what time our excursions went til. It used to break that down for you, now it doesn't. Logged in on my phone to show her, and the mobile setup is the same as desktop. Isn't this like, the 3rd change they've made to the cruise manager page so far this year? Each time it gets a little less convenient...just saying...

I am surprised people say Cozumel is the least, because I would consider them one of the pushiest ports I have visited.  I have visited there roughly a half-dozen times and my experience has always been the same.

It might help that we went in late August and were the only ship in port at the time, so maybe the vendors were more laid back, but I loved Cozumel!

  8. Most: Jamaica! Coming out of Dunn's River Falls I had a vendor literally push wooden necklaces in my hand then demand $5!!! Port at Ocho Rios wasn't as bad, but they were calling for us to come to their booth.

Least: Grand Caymen, Progreso and Cozumel. All ports were clean, they waited for us to come to them instead of calling out to us. Much more pleasant experience than Jamaica.

I think the Cucina is on a par with Olive Garden, and I don't eat there either.  Tough after being spoiled with Grandma's homemade gravy and pasta and eating at Arthur Ave. or other Bronx-Italian restaurants.

Good authentic Southern Italian peasant food won't be found in Cucina or OG.  But hey, if you like it, go enjoy!  My opinion shouldn't affect yours.

I'm sure if I grew up with genuine Italian cooking, nothing else would compare either!!! Unfortunately I'm an American mutt. 😎

Used to work in West Plains about 15 years ago, at OMC. It was a nurse I used to work with there that put me on the idea of cruising. Nice little town.

Yep, we're a nice town! Middle of nowhere, but not a bad place to live IMO. We're in the talks of getting a Steak n shake! Very excited!😁

Cucina's is free at lunch, and IMO, not very good. But, everyone that goes for dinner loves it. We REALLY like JiJi's, which again is free for lunch (Mongolian Wok), but extra for dinner and well worth the $$$. It's not fair to compare the lunch with dinner at these specialty restaurants.

Good to know! I was figuring we'd try the lunch, and if we liked it, make a dinner reservation.😐

Olive Garden is run of the mill Italian dining and doesn’t come close to Cucina’s quality in my opinion.

We have quite a few Italian restaurants in our area that don't even begin to taste as good as Olive Garden, so to me Olive Garden is the mark to beat for Italian food. Us rural Missourian's don't have a lot of options apparently...I love OG!

There is bar soap, but I always pack my own antibiotic liquid soap for hand washing.  I don't normally use antibiotic soaps at home, but I do when I cruise.

Smart!!! We also get those travel size hand sanitizers on a keychain and attach it to our card lanyard. Better safe than sorry!
