Called RCI today to prepay my gratuities and was offered a promo $80 USD per person for 3 nights specialty dining on Oasis..

So i just called RCI to prepay my gratuities and I decided to ask them about purchasing OBC and what the exchange rate is. Spoke with Vern and they said they no longer do this. They spoke with their supervisor and was offered to overcharge my account so that can become an On Board Credit BUT will not know what the exchange rate will be until the time of sail. So for example if they charged me 600 Canadian today, it goes by what exchange rate is on date of sail to convert to USD. So i guess everyone who did this before was lucky! :) The rep did say unfortunately it won't be any savings.

The ship the OP is cruising on (RCI Oasis) also has this option...Family Dining.

Family Time dining was not available when I booked over the phone. RCI told me I would have to wait until I board and speak with the Maitre D. It's dependent on the amount of kids that participate in the Family Time Dining and may not have any available openings. :(

We are doing My Time Dining. I'm just worried my little rugrat will disturb others:eek:

Will be going on the Oasis of the Seas shortly and I understand Lobster night is usually the second formal night in the MDR. Since i will be travelling with a 3 year old, I'm not too sure if he would be able to sit still and behave for 2 hours for dinner. Last thing I want is for my son to be disturbing other guests so we will possibly have to eat at the Windjammer. Does anyone know if they serve lobster at the buffet? Hoping i won't have to miss out on Lobster night! :(

Just wondering if you order a drink package, the entire cabin has to get the same package? My DH is a drinker, and I don't touch alcohol. I was wondering if he would be able to get an alcohol package and I could just get the soda package? Are the drink packages even worth it? When we cruised Norwegian, we had an ultimate beverage package that DH used, but the Soda's weren't readily available in the Windjammer, had to go to the bars to order it so I didnt really get much use out it.

Dumb question, but what is D+?:confused:

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are not bringing our car seat which is why we need to look into a private shuttle that provides car seats as cabs do not have them, hence we cannot take a cab. Add a car seat to everything we have to carry then it would definitely be impossible to self-disembark.

We were thinking of doing the self-disembark simply because we are concerned if we took the first time scheduled off Oasis (I believe it is 8:15), with any delays in customs and waiting for the Royal Caribbean transfer bus to fill up, we could be late. I'm not American so this is not a domestic flight so won't I have to check in 2-3 hours in advance?

Boo.. well Jiffy Jeff has responded. He doesn't go from FLL to Port Everglades and doesn't do private transfers. He does shared shuttle from MIA to Port Everglades OR FLL to Port of Miami.

Anyone know of any other transfer/shuttle companies? I really don't want to lug my car seat there and back.

Virgin poster here! First time going on RCI Oasis of the Seas departing May 21, 2016. Will be flying into FLL. We cannot use the RCI Transfers as we have an earlier return flight. Can anyone suggest a company that will provide a car seat for a reasonable price? it will just be my Husband and I with our 3 yr old son.

I contacted All Stars Tours & Transportation and was quoted $45 one way including Car Seat. Has anyone used this company before?

Jiffy Jeff hasnt contacted me back yet regarding private transfers.

Newbie here.. so will be Cruising RCI Oasis of the Seas May 21-28 2016 with my husband and 3 yr old son. Our return flight is 11:30am from FLL. Do we need to do Express Disembarkation? Is it possible with a toddler to walk off the ship with a stroller, two luggage's and 2 carryons or are we crazy to even think that would be possible?:confused:

What time should we disembark the ship to catch our flight on time? We are currently looking into private transfers
