You can however try a Kentucky Mule, it's made with bourbon instead of vodka. I think it has more flavor. I do enjoy both.

We hope that the MDR will be open on the Jade in August. Dragging our carry-ons to the buffet, while trying to find a table is not fun. I guess that we can go to O'Sheehan's.
We were on the Jade in April, MDR was not open for lunch. We went to O'Sheehan's, it was pleasant.

Your live reviews are fantastic, this was enjoyable as well. That being said, I do not even take pictures on vacation anymore. I like to live in the moment and totally disconnect.

Our last few cruises have been on NCL, far better value with the Free At Sea.

Thanks for the posts. I will be on the Getaway in October AFTER dry dock
We will be on in October as well. We were on the Getaway in April of 2023, I am interested if I will notice any changes.

I booked an interior adjoining cabin on Mardi Gras in error. How concerned should I be about the noise?

Great to here, we will be on the Jade next month.

I live in Cincinnati, OH when I was younger there were 2 Amphicars in the area. We saw them a lot. I thought they were AWESOME!

Can you get a mimosa or Bloody Mary at breakfast in the MDR on debarkation? Or just Java Blue coffee?
I am not sure. I have gotten spiked coffee but I have not asked in the MDR.

Blasphemy
I’ve said it before - the water we saw at Valley Church Beach on Antigua when we stopped there in 2013 was among the best I’ve ever seen.
It was a nice beach but we couldn't see anything last May, the water was so cloudy. We plan to try it again in April.

We cruised NCL for the first time last year and will be cruising them again in April. The Free at Sea makes it far more affordable than anything I have seen on Carnival for quite some time.

Birra and Empanada is on my list to do when we sail out of San Juan next month. We’re spending 3 days in OSJ prior to our embarkation. Definitely want local food.
Raices is fantastic, it was recommended to us by a friend who lived in San Juan. The fish cakes and mofongo were excellent.

Haha! This hit home for me. I’m a dual citizen born and raised in Canada now living in the US. It has taken me YEARS to stop asking “where is the washroom, please?” Apart from confused looks I was once led to the “laundry room” during a college tour with my daughter. Hehe.
I've used washroom, restroom and bathroom. I never really thought about this before, I am going to start listening to others. I was born, raised and still live in southern Ohio.

Is there a place they display that? In the atrium or something? When we were on the Getaway they showed it in the mornings on the screen in the atrium.

I had a treat at dinner. They seated a British family next to mess I got to sit next to a 7 year old. The parents used foul language like it was just normal. Then at one point the kid asked a question about babies being born so I had listen to graphic talk about all of that while eating.
There’s more to it than that but that’s probably all I can share without getting reported/deleted.
I wish they would give us a little breathing room instead of seating us in each others laps. There was plenty of space available in the dining room.
We cruised NCL for the first time in May, I was amazed at the room between tables in the MDR compared to Carnival.

Got a wedding save the date in the mail today. Need to book a cruise for July 2024 to have an excuse not to go to the wedding!
Why wouldn't you want to go?

First, we are seasoned cruisers, cruising mostly with Celebrity and Princess and RC in the past. Decided to try NCL Haven and here is our take.
We are on Gateway, day 4, sailing from Port Canaveral. A short report so far.
We drove from home, no traffic, about an hour. Got into the port area around 11 for 12 -12:30 check in. OMG, line of cars was about half a mile long. Took us about 50 min to go thru, park the car. Then we got checked in Haven section. It was fairly quickly. Our suite is very nice with a lot of closet space, nice bathroom and jacuzzi tub in the room (haven’t used it yet). We met our lady butler. She is very nice. We didn’t have many requests, so few things we asked for, she gets us. Haven area is very nice, relaxing.
Concierge service is very convenient. I will give a full report about Haven restaurant by the end of the cruise. We don’t like public areas of the ship. 17 bars and 15 restaurants and different venues makes this ship feel even more crowded.Stay tuned, more to come.
I agree, we were on the cruise before yours. I have never experienced such crowds on a ship.

It was a mess getting off the ship last Thursday. We were light blue tags, I think they callled us around 9:15. There were so many people doing "self assist" that should not have. If you have 5 suitcases, a stroller, and a baby in your arms check your bags. If you can't walk and have a mobility scooter or use a walker, check your bags.

It's not, I wouldn't use a good bourbon in it though, use soething like Bulleit.
