  1. I’ve only cruised in the Caribbean before, but just booked my first Mediterranean cruise on Oasis for this August!

For the past few years now, dining packages have always been in the cruise planner for my Caribbean itineraries. Bogo, 5 night, unlimited, etc. For this one I don’t show any packages.

I figure they might just not be offered anymore or perhaps not on this itinerary  but thought I’d check here. Do you think they could still be added or perhaps discontinued?

  2. If you want to embrace your natural curl/wave, I find using a blow dryer with a difusser attachment really helps me. It dries pretty quickly but leaves the natural curl in place then I just do some touch up curls.

I also tried out some product sets from Sephora. They're travel size and let you try a lot of different products without committing to a whole full size product in case you don't like it. I tried this one for easy scrunch and go wavy styles. Here's one for curls and for regular styling. They have a ton of different ones depending on what you're looking for. It's a great way to try a lot of different products-- and they're easy to pack!

If you have long hair definitely consider splurging and getting a blow out on board like others have said! I think it could be great as long as you could plan to make it last for a couple of days.

  3. My brother just got off Allure yesterday. He said the card was indeed on the door and the other on the table. He was in 11240. What's interesting is when he and his wife arrived at their cabin the door was open and a gentleman was in the room, a passenger. He told my brother he just wanted to see the inside of the OS cabin, so he used the key and just entered and took photos. Other than stuff like that I like the new system/

Yikes! Was the guy absolutely mortified that he'd been caught? I can't believe anyone would feel they have the right to enter another person's cabin with their sea pass card.

  4. I'm having the same issue. Link through dashboard gives me a "Page Not Found" error and direct log in with reservation info for online check in gives me a reservation being modified message. Tried internet explorer and chrome, cleared cache on both. Going to wait and try again tomorrow.

I know it's minor, but the pre-cruise planner and online preparations used to be a lot of fun in counting down to vacation. Now it's just a hassle. Their "enhanced experience" website really took a lot of the excitement out of the process.

  5. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can upgrade even after final payment if you see a higher cabin category that is near the price you originally paid. Perhaps you could upgrade to a suite if you see price drops before your cruise. Might take the sting out of feeling you paid too much if you're able to do this.

On a side note, our schedule typically forces us to cruise only in June and July. I feel your pain on the high prices in summer time!

  6. My first thought regarding questions like this is why not pick up the phone and call? If there’s an issue, at least they can explain what it is. If not, they can make the switch for you.

I have spoken with them already and was confused by their response, sorry if that wasn't clear. I was more curious if policy had changed regarding room switches and how available cabins are shown since they didn't seem to be seeing what I did on their website.

  7. Looking for some advice.

I want to switch to a different cabin within the same category I'm currently booked. I'm being told no more cabins are available in the category, but I show them online. There are only 2 of us and searching for 2 in the cabin brings up no balcony cabins, but searching for 3 brings up options. I was told they want to reserve triples for parties of 3+, but all D5s are triples so I don't see the issue since I'd be freeing up the exact same cabin type.

Am I looking at this wrong? I'd always been able to switch rooms within the same category before. I'm sailing Harmony May 26, 2018.

    Current Cabin: 10324

    Requested Cabin: 12706

  8. Mine is the same I think! I can log in but there’s hardly any information. It shows my Emerald status and points. It shows my current reservation with only my cabin type and number, no other information.

If I click on the link that says cruise planner it logs me out. Sometimes I can log in again with reservation, surname, sail date and sometimes it gives me a bad pathway message. Same if I click on check in information.

Overall, it hasn’t improved for me at all since last Thursday. Today they told me 48 more hours... which is exactly what they said last Thursday.

  9. I only tip extra when I find a bartender I like. the one off drink at a random bar I won't tip extra. If I got to a certain bartender every night (which usually ends up happening on many of my cruises) I end up tipping them well.

I follow the same rule. I don't tip extra per drink, but will tip extra to bartenders we get to know or spend more time with.

  10. That was the case on both of our Harmony cruises last year. I have not read any threads to the contrary.

We spent the majority of our time at the sports pool.

Thank you! It's usually our go to pool on Oasis/Allure so works out perfectly.

  11. We are booked on Harmony April 28, 2018 and I've been going through some Harmony threads in anticipation :)

I've read in older threads that the Sports Pool on Harmony is adults only. Can anyone confirm it's been this way on recent sailings?

  12. We had 6 people and used Sunshine Limousine and Sedan Service. We chose the Ford Van option and round trip with fees it was $282. Very easy pick up from the MCO to our hotel the day before cruise and then from the port to MCO at the end of the week. They were very professional and I'd definitely use them again.

Prices are listed on their website which is convenient. They also have multiple vehicle options and options for one way transportation if you don't need round trips.

  13. I’ve done Fury Catamaran twice and we really enjoyed it. It’s nice because you don’t have any travel time and you meet right off the ship. Nice boat ride, snorkel, complimentary drinks, fun music, good beach, and big water floats/slide, kayaks, etc.

I will say the snorkeling was kind of generic but overall great excursion. I’d book again.

  14. I was wondering......My husband and I were considering one of the big, mega ships for a family cruise (especially thinking of our two grandsons who will be13 and 15-and the more exciting activities onboard for them). Anyway, my husband had read that the staterooms overlooking Central Park are noisier than the ones facing the water....If so,.....are they unbearably noisy as in...can’t get to sleep?

I didn’t find them noisy at all. On deck ten I could hear the classical type music they played some nights in Central Park. Also, some sea days you can hear music from the pool deck band. Both could only be heard sitting on the balcony though, not inside if you had the door closed. It is a different vibe than a balcony facing the ocean, but it was interesting to try!

I have heard boardwalk balconies can be louder because of the aqua show and carousel, but I’ve never stayed in those.

My 13 year old nephew was on this cruise with us and he had a blast. I think your grandsons would love the big oasis class ships!

  15. Thank you! I feel so much better that I heard from someone that stayed in Central Park in July! We have adjoining cabins too on deck 10. I wanted Deck 11 but they weren't available. What deck were you on? I'm hoping the glass fixtures don't block my view. I need to people watch at least a little bit! Lol!

Sent from my iPad using Forums

We were also deck 10! I thought the view was great. Low enough that it was good for people watching and for hearing music at night if they had it. Nothing blocking the view.

I don’t have any pictures of the view unfortunately but there should be some YouTube videos that will show it.

I think you’ll really like it!

  16. I had the same worries after researching!

We did Central Park balconies last July and I didn’t find the balconies to be too hot. You definitely don’t get the breeze you’d get on the outside balconies but it’s still comfortable. Central Park just has a really nice ambiance and I found it very relaxing.

They were able to take out the divider between our balconies which was nice! If it’s something you’d want you can ask your cabin attendant to see if it’s a possibility.
