  1. I too was on the 9/26 sailing of Serenade. I love the islands in the southern. It is the ship I am not so crazy about. I love Adventure and wish she would come back permenantly.
  2. There is the Safari Club, the Schooner Bar, Vortex (nightclub), Pool Bar and the Champagne Bar for starters!
  3. This was my daughter's first cruise and my 8th but the first without my husband. (getting divorced) This was to be our 8th anniversary cruise and everyone at our table were celebrating anniversaries. it was a little shaky at first for both of us for different reasons. But we had some great staff who really were awesome. It's good to know that the comments of appreciation do make a difference for the staff! I have always felt that the staff has been great but this time I think I appreciated it much more than usual!
  4. Thanks! I wouldn't have expected a response but that is good to know that someone personally attends to those kinds of things!
  5. I wish I would have thought of that while still onboard! Great idea for next time, thanks!!!
  6. If you get the chance to stay post cruise in San Juan, make a point of going over to Old San Juan Sunday evening and enjoy the plaza area! There are local vendors, food vendors and live music plus you can watch the ships sail out that night! it really is a very festive experience and a chance to enjoy the city! It is very family oriented and very fun!!! it begins about 5:30 and goes until 9:00 -9:30. and yes, it is VERY safe to be in the evening!
  7. thanks everyone for the responses! it is appreciated! A couple of people went out of their way to make this cruise memorable and special for my daughter and I, missed the chance to express my gratitude!
  8. For wrinkled clothing, they do provide a pressing only of your clothes at half the price of dry cleaning onboard. It is amazing that people still after all this time, think they can take alcohol onboard! I did take a electrical strip (surge proctector) on thinking I might need it for charging devices, but never used it and it never was questioned.
  9. You can order a package for say an anniversary or birthday that includes a bottle of Moet & Chandon, chocolate covered strawberries, stuff like that. Check the website, you can order flowers to be delvered too for a special occasion. As others have mentioned you can order the wine packages where the wine will be served with dinner each night. Lemonade, water, iced tea and orange juice served from the beverage stations are free. of course you can order freshly squeezed orange juice for a price in the Windjammer and soda packages as well. room service is available as well as the breakfast menu you can place on your door the night before but it is limited. The coffee as far as I can remember has always been Seattles best. Specialty coffees do cost you of course. Read some of the reviews being posted on here. They can be very informative!!! i just got off this ship yesterday!
  10. Does anyone know how to get in touch with members of the cruise staff or if it is possible to?
  11. my daughter and I were on this cruise as well. it was great!
  12. the lobby at the Stellaris is very lively at night on the weekends!!! Tijuana's down the street on Ashford to the left of the front of the hotel is a nice little place to eat.
  13. flights into San Juan, should you choose the Southern route are not as expensive as you might think. I am in northern California and round trip runs about $450 a person if you buy far enough in advance.
