I thought the closest bus stop to the port in Chioggia was too far away to walk to the cruise terminal.

No, it does not look like that. We had a 10 minutes walk to our hotel and will have another 10 minutes walk to the ship today. By feet the ways in Chioggia are shorter because cars are not allowed in parts of the area.

How to transfer from the Venice airport to Chioggia since we want to stay precruise one night

We did this today. It is Bus 85 which leaves outside the terminal at pier H. Tickets can be bought in the terminal and cost € 10. The ride takes about one hour in a comfortable coach.

    Quite easy!

So I looked at the menus (above). But perusing the menus made me want to go to the Patio Grill instead - we had the most amazing Azamara Burgers (no pics. looked like burgers though)

A late lunch at Patio is one of my favourite food option at Azamaras ships. Burges are fine but also the vegan cauliflower wings are yummy.

You mentioned upgrading to the Ultimate beverage package.  Are you charged 21% Spanish Tax on this at the point of upgrade?   Thank you

We sailed out of Barcelona several times. The tax is only as long as you are in port and it is also announced by information signs. If you book about one our after sail away - no tax.

What a coincidence Bea, you also have the Horse-Show?

    Have a great cruise!

We thought, we would, but a few days ago an email told us it would be "Choir performace at Tito Square", an exclusive evening of music with the Sasa Avsenik Band. As far as I know this is "Oberkrainer" music with mainy brass instruments. We do have something similar in the south of Austria, but it is not my kind of music.

    My time says 13-15??????

    Maybe your assigned check-in time?

With Bella you will be give a time and restaurant for dinner, to choose your time you need to book Fantastica.

  7. On our B2B in November with two booking numbers the left OBC from the first leg was carried to the second one. We where informed about that in the B2B meeting and also in a letter to our cabin.

  8. We are passionate dancers and cruised with all 4 ships. They are quite the same. As mentioned above, Azamara is not the first choice if you want to dance. Ballroom is a bit tricky but possible, for latin dances it is quite OK.

It also depends a lot to the music. One time we had a fantastic motown band - we where lucky if we got one song to dance with each night.

I'm a ballroom dancer and would like to try Azamara with some friends.  Can anyone tell me what happens in the Cabaret Lounge, it looks like it has a nice dance floor?

Unfortunately not, although the Azamara Band is very good. The dancefloor is at the Livingroom with an other band.

Hello, how much was the Gambia visa? If you apply in advance with the US consulate they want 200 USD per person. If it's that much, we might just stay on board.

As Austrian citizens we did not need a visa for the Gambia. And I am sorry, I don't know how much it was.

I am thinking of pre purchasing the Experience More package but I have already booked all my shore excursions and do not want to cancel them in order to use the $350 excursion credit onboard, as the excursions I want could be sold out.  Has anyone had any problem getting the Experience More excursion credit credited to one's already paid for shore excursions?

Did it when on bord. I had to cancel the excursions and rebook with excursions desk.

    Hi, newbie here.

We are looking at an Azamara cruise next May and have a Premium Beverage package.

Does this package include upgraded wines? I can't find the answer to this after my searches.
    Thanks for the input.

No. A different selection of wine is only included in the ultimate package. But you may order wine and pay for.

Some people also report that you can upgrade premium to ultimate package.

Is this something that people do a lot in the ports with overnight stays?

No, not common in my experience on 8 Azamara cruises. But guests like to have dinner in port and then come back.

Sometimes also overnight excursions are offered.
