I think it is always worth it. When you figure in alcoholic drinks, soda, bottled water, and specialty coffees, it can really add up if paying For each one. For me just not having to worry about a big bill at the end is worth it.

We sailed on Liberty Last February. We all loved it!! Staff were great, food was really good (we mostly ate in Windjammer), rooms were decent. Ship when we were embarking did get in late due to fog. So if any were to fly in I would leave some extra time considering that. Would definitely go again!!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think the best bet is maybe trying to get a future cruise credit. They are looking into the credit card. No way will my friend go by himself with his wife being this ill, just isn’t going to happen. Hopefully this will work out in the end. Thanks again!

I was wondering if anybody has had any luck getting a refund, even a small amount, for a new serious health issue? Some friends of mine have a cruise next week, and unfortunately one has acutely become very ill. They did not get trip insurance. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

We got the deluxe package last February on Liberty. We all got the drinks we wanted immediately after getting on board. They told us that their was restrictions until we got out to international waters. Wasn't a big deal to any of us.. We still had a drink in hand 5 minutes after boarding!

Jealous!! I am in Iowa in negative temperatures right now. Went on Liberty February last year...amazing!! Hope the weather is as good for you as it was for us.

I would get it. Like you I am in my 40's and love my share of drinks..especially on vacation. If your mom drinks a few drinks a day, plus say coffees, juices,bottled water it adds up. I have always paid for the deluxe package, buy in advance on sale and never regretted it. I have no worries once on ship about how much I am spending on drinks.

I recommend it. Haven't done it on Adventure of the seas, but did on Jewel. It was very informative and was a great chance to see parts of the ship you never will get to see otherwise. Kind of pricey though!

Hi all, does anyone know if all ships have seafood night on the last evening on the cruise in the Windjammer? I had read that before I went on Liberty in February and indeed they had lots of seafood the last night. Going on a 4 day on Enchantment and was wondering if that will be the case on this one. Thanks for replies!

We are still up in the air about which way to go ( appreciate all the advice!) but if we were to book thru Atlantis, does anybody know how much a taxi cost approximately to get there from the port? I ask because it looks like booking thru Atlantis is $135, booking thru the cruise line is $189.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like some good options. Our ship is docked from 0800 until 11 or midnight I think, so we should be able to get to see a fair amount of Atlantis.

My sister and I are going on the Enchantment of the seas in November. We want to go to Atlantis while in Nassau. Do people suggest booking thru the cruise line or thru Atlantis themselves,for a day pass? Or any other suggestions would be helpful.

Hi, new to the board and had a question for those of you that have cruised out of Galveston. A group of 6 of us are flying into George Bush and we're wondering what is a good shuttle company to use to get to our hotel in Galveston. We leave February 12th and unfortunately I thought someone else in the group had taken care of this. Hope it isn't to late to arrange for a transfer. Any recommendations would be helpful!!
