Papillon612,
You can go to the VO website, under cruises select your cruise. The itinerary should be listed. Click on a port and the excursions should be shown, included and optional. The times and cost of excursions aren't shown but will be shown in MVJ when booking opens.

I was on the Sea in the Mediterranean during October 2016. I don't know all the bourbons but do know the had Jack Daniels and Makers Mark.

I paid for our trip with echeck (EFT) direct to Viking. No fee and I got an immediate 3.3% discount. This is better than I get with any of my credit cards. Info is on the Viking website.

It's working.

I happen to catch the mini-bar steward so I told him directly. If you don't see him, tell your room steward. They'll pass along your requests.
-
You can ask the mini-bar steward to stock it with whatever the have available. We had them switch to all Diet Coke.

Carolyn,
The lectures sound wonderful.
It would be even better if Viking would post the recorded lectures online. That way we could watch them and become familiar with our destinations before the cruise, during the year + we are waiting to depart. Maybe you could suggest this to Viking.
Enjoying your posts.

On our cruise on the Sea in October 2016, we were docked at Pier 107/108. This was at the Venice Passenger Terminal which is on the western side of Venice where the causeway from the mainland terminates.

Your Itinerary show arrival in Venice the day before disembarkation. You will overnight in port before leaving the ship. You can go to MyVikingJourney and see the actual departure and arrival times for each port.

For those in the Apple ecosystem, iMessages also communicates using the ship's wifi while in airplane mode. We used this method on the Sea and it worked quite well.

On our Mediterranean cruise in October on the Sea, the store was closed while in port and opened an hour after departing. On days with later departures it didn't open at all. On our only sea day it was open it was open 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM.

We were on the Viking Sea in October and our Viking pre-cruise hotel was the Hilton Molino Stucky.

We went on the same cruise last October and flew from Orlando-FRA-VCE. Our connecting time was 1:25. I was concerned also but Lufthansa said it was a legal connection so I trusted them. We made it to the connecting gate about 15 minutes before boarding began. We flew premium economy so had a slight head start deplaning.
When you deplane, after a walk, you will go through immigration. One set of desks are for entry to Germany and the other is for connecting flights. Be aware.
You then go through TSA type security. You then will want to take the tram to the connecting gate terminal. I'm not sure whether security was first or the tram ride. I didn't sleep on the flight so was I wasn't 100%.
If you have any other questions about our experience I'll try to answer them.
Enjoy the experience.

Viking refund policy allows for a cancellation of a booked cruises with a full refund minus a $100 fee until 121 day before departure. Cabins may become available as that deadline approaches. I believe they also allow wait lists.
Good luck with getting a reservation. We were on that cruise this October and it was wonderful.

I'm curious as to the onboard temperature in public areas such as the restaurants, lounges, theater, etc. I assume cabins have their own thermostats.

You can also go to ship friends.gr and search for the ship name. They have additional pictures of the Sun.
