  1. Thanks for the heads up. I don't cruise until February and have been waiting for the right time to purchase the drink packages. RCL website shows 25% off Deluxe and 30% off Refreshment until midnight tonight. I've also noticed that the shore excursions in my cart have discounted prices right now. I think we will go ahead a book the couple that we are sure about.

  2. ITINERARY UPDATES

    Hurricane Matthew Weather Update

    October 6, 2016

For the past few days, we have been closely monitoring the path and progress of Hurricane Matthew off the coast of Florida. On Thursday, Port Canaveral and PortMiami are closed to all marine traffic due to the strong and powerful storm. Because of this, and given the storms' current location and projected path, it is necessary make the following modifications:

    Majesty of the Seas

Due to Port Canaveral's closure and given Hurricane Matthew's current location and projected path, it will be necessary to cancel Majesty of the Seas' Saturday, October 8, sailing. Guests will have the option to receive a full refund of the cruise fare paid or future cruise credit in the amount of 150% of the cruise fare paid. Refunds will automatically be issued within one week to the form of payment applied unless we are contacted and a future cruise credit is requested.

  3. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and tips, and for satisfying my curiosity.

The opposite of your friend above, I was a total carnivore until I got cancer in 2007. I am vegan because it keeps me healthy. It was an adjustment for sure and I still love the smell of bacon even if I don't eat it. :)

    Happy cruising!

  4. No offense taken by anyone. I definitely know what vegan is. All I was saying is that I don't mind relaxing my vegan principles a little if it is going to be too difficult to eat pure vegan diet on the ship. I can live with a vegetarian diet for a few days. I'm not going to die from a few animal products. It's vacation after all. I just personally feel better when I stick to a vegan diet so was wondering if anyone could tell me what's available.

To answer a question above. I generally make my own dehydrated foods for backpacking and mountaineering so that I know what is in them.

It was just a question, no agenda. People can eat what they want and I won't be offended. My fiancé eats plenty of meat and milk to make up for my lack of it.

  5. Any advice from vegans when sailing on Royal Caribbean, specifically Liberty of the Seas, but I assume they all have similar foods.

This will be my first ever cruise. I'm more of a mountaineer and long distance backpacker. The food situation is making me a bit nervous.

  6. RCL policy states that most outdoor smoking areas are on the starboard side of the ship. I am booked on Deck 12 of the starboard side and I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem with smoke from the pool deck below?

Can anyone tell me where the public smoking areas are on LOS? I am booked far enough out to change my room assignment if needed. Thank you.
