In the instance I mentioned, other crew members said that it was suicide and that the poor soul was heart broken over a failed relationship.

I was on Explorer in 2010 when a crew member went overboard. The ship circled for many, many hours and the Captain actually asked the passengers to look and see if they coukd spot him. Eventually the Coast Guard arrived and we went on our way. I don't believe they found him. So very sad.

I jumped on this. Ended up having to call because the package wouldn't load on the website but a couple minutes on the phine and I was cared for. I have always had very positive experiences with the phone reps. Anyway, thanks to OP for the heads up.

I always book as far forward as I can. I don't mind the walk and I never have to figure out if I need to go left or right when I leave the cabin.
-
Depends on your perspective. I have often cruised without ever getting off the ship.

Just because you book outside of hurricane season doesn't mean you won't encounter one. Witness Anthem Feb 2016. I know, I was there. I've also sailed her twice since then and I'm booked for this Sept. I'd say, go with the date that is convenient for you and an itinerary that appeals to you.

We are discussing this on another thread too. Keep the cigar lounges!

Forgive my ignorance. What is a "placeholder cruise"?

As a solo, and yes I'm paying 200%, I changed from a 5 night Bermuda to a 9 night New England/Canada mainly because I could get the specific stateroom I wanted. Assuming that I make no changes to the reservation, do I understand that RCI could just move me to another stateroom? Even after final payment?

I booked alone for a Sept Anthem cruise. I asked if I could add someone later and the rep told me yes and they would only pay tax and fees. Was that incorrect?

Synergy is amazing. Enjoy.

Just did this itinerary end of feb into march, the first one you showed, from the website, is what we did. CocoCay, then Nassau.

I'm doing the 9 night Boston, Maine and Canada on Anthem, solo in Sept. I saved $134. Thanks! Now I'm waiting for Sip and Stream.

Nope. You're on your own.

If you are in a suite the eggs Benedict are outstanding in the Coastal Kitchen

I have finally found my peeps. First solo cruise Anthem 9/25 to Bermuda but I have always been partial to setting out on my own. 🙂

Ok, I've thought about this a bit. The truth is, I couldn't eat those eggs benedict. For me, they were inedible. Not sure why I felt the need to placate others. I love Anthem. My first sailing was the "hurricane" cruise to nowhere where we limped back to Bayonne. I still had a good time and made the best of it. The Sept cruise will be my fourth on her. I make no apologies, the eggs benedict suck.
-
We only did mdr breakfast once or twice but eggs benedict were there both times. Agreed that the eggs were poached correctly.

Was on Anthem 2/25 sailing. I found the eggs benedict in the MDR inedible. Tasted off/sour.

I just booked 11500 on Anthem for Bermuda in Sept. I usually get a balcony but these rooms appealed to me for some reason.

You don't have to wait till you get to your stateroom to see what restaurants you are assigned. When you board, go to any of the specialty restaurants and they can look it up for you. Last week we were assigned Jamie's first night and it was half empty. Chops the second night and it was pretty full. I prefer Wonderland to either but had done it on a prior sailing. Enjoy.
