Viking Crown Lounge picking up steam. Things are about to get crazy!
Okay, this is the best thread. My fist ship was the Grandeur. Forward interior room 3515, heard every time they put the anchor down. Loved that and loved that cruise. Oh, now I am such a more seasoned cruiser, ha, ha. So looking forward to getting back on that ship next year. Bigger is not always better, ha, ha. Thanks for your sharing your experience.

I am confused, is the alpha alpha alpha cruise over, already?
Glad to hear you are back on a ship. Can't wait for you to describe the ship.
JC
I think after they dropped they family back off, they headed back out to sea to continue the cruise but I will let OP verify.

Yes, my reservation is showing the same as yours. Not to worry.
-
I just want a CD with my photos and then I can print what I want. There is no way you should have to pay over $300. Over it. No more ship photos.

Great news! I had asked RCI if they would contact the people in the other corner aft and ask if they would like the upgrade to Jr Suite and let us have their cabin and they agreed! So we still have a corner aft, just on the other side! :D
Thanks to all of you who gave positive and helpful responses!:)
YAY, so happy to hear. YOu are going to love that cabin.

Have you ever stayed in one of the corner afts on Vision? I have and would give up a larger cabin for that larger balcony. I was out there so much more than in my cabin.
To the OP, fight it and please do let us know how it turns out. Have been hearing stories like this far too often lately.
Totally agree. We had a corner aft on Vision that I also booked way in advance and it was amazing. The balcony, WOW!
OP, hope you get it back.

My reservation says that I owed $500 by Jan 2016 and that i had only paid $250 (the promo that I reserved under). I never thought to worry about it. I am going to just pay the entire balance due on the final date due.

Thanks for the updates and so glad to hear that you and everyone else is okay. So sorry this happened on your cruise. We went through Hurricane Noel a few years ago and I know how scary it can be, but your experience even sounded worse. Best wishes and safe return to port!

Ok the video convinced me, I switched our cabin to 7666.
Thanks for all the inputs, much appreciated.:)
You won't be sorry. Great choice. Enjoy!

We had 7666 and it was awesome! Balcony was fantastic. Go for it!!

Not sure this will work, but this is 7166 on Enchantment. Great cabin, great balcony.
not sure what I am doing wrong.

So glad it worked out for you, OP. We had the corner aft on Vision and it was Fabulous! Would never have traded for a JS.

Who was your Cruise Director? Was it Abe Hughes, if so, how was he and do you know how long he will be on? We are cruising at the end of the month and was hoping to get a fun Cruise Director. Wish Richard Spacey would come back to Royal Caribbean.
Yes, it was Abe Hughes and I thought he was great! Very involved, took a picture of him with me and hubby as part of a bingo quest to find the cruise director, get a picture and get a free bingo card.

We did self assist and to our car in the garage so fast! Definitely a plus not having to wait for shuttle.

Taking a short break before we head up to pool deck. Very festive atmosphere this evening. Seems all venues will have options for non paying reserved seating. Just watched the headliner show.. Ron Lucas ventriloquist. Too funny! Great show. Happy new year everyone!

Received an insert in our cruise planner that outlined a list of free venues for new year's eve. Most notably a Times Square New Year's Eve party poolside, decks 14 and 15 hosted by cruise director Abe Hughes. Like him a lot. Other free venues include Music Hall, Latin music in 270, so maybe there are some options for free seating there, not sure.
also resolutions with with Richard Ruben in Schooner Bar, Bubbles Bling party in Seaplex. A couple of after parties also scheduled. The insert does not mention any of the reserved pay options. All in all looks like several fun alternatives.
No mention of fireworks as previodly reported told to me by Johanna in 270. She is my favorite bartender.

Hey, sha, would you please report on the "Solarium Bistro", formerly known as Devinly Decadence?
What and when are they serving there?
Hi. Went for breakfast this morning. A small buffet with an option for made to order omlettes. Also fruit, breads, salmon, etc. it was okay and an alternative Windjammer crowds. Will try to check it out later in the day for other meal times,

Just got back from guest services. Seems the 1500 charge at 270 has dropped to $1000 for a couple. Includes "special show", bottle of Dom, chocolate covered strawberries.
Pool deck will have countdown on large screen and a party. That venue is free but besides that, that is all she knew. Although I think I would have preferred 270 as our NYE venue, I am okay with party on pool deck...

Anything special going on in the casino, eg. champagne, canapes, etc.
On the NYE flyer it says special events are taking place in Vinrages, Seaplex, North Star, and 270. All have charges. Trying to still find out if something is definitely happening on pool deck for the rest of us who do not want to pay extra to enjoy New Year. Bartender at 270 (Johanna.. She is great) says there will be fireworks at the back of ship.
More bingo, belly flop, and fun to look forward to today.

When you return will you please let us know if it is a sold out crowd. I am curious if people will actually pay that, or are they going to discount it a lot when no one is buying.
We are going on the Enchantment for NYE and am getting a little worried.
Okay will do!
