Have you had any luck with getting vouchers for this trip. Viking is granting them.

Have a third party insurer. As I understand it, they had only up till Friday last to revise booking and it had to be taken within 90 days. Getting vouchers could be good for more than a year. Either way, it's a bummer if whole purpose of this cruise was for Israel. But at least we can now pick something else

Was the air with Viking? If it were, they would count that amount into your voucher.

I was told the other day by Berkshire Hathaway whom I took the insurance with that if we got vouchers and sent the proof, they would roll over our insurance money to the new cruise. That would be a saving of over $2200. I will call tomorrow and double-check.

I would call again and ask for a supervisor. To be out that money is outrageous, especially since they are giving vouchers. Do not accept this. Be persistent, but nice. Please let us know.

What foolish business practice by not letting you transfer monies whereby they would be getting $4000 more! Totally inflexible. Viking policies allow for terrorism, not war! Is that way with Berkshire Hathaway. I am hoping they take Cyprus off the table and find someplace else farther away out of that region altogether.

Yes, we would lose our money, too. Terrorism covered, but not WAR??? Obviously, a policy designed by a man, ROFLOL.

I agree with you. At least offer an FCC if they do sail. Going to Cypress makes nonsense. Their reputation for excellent customer service will be tarnished forever if Viking gets sucked into something that they could have been avoided.

maybe someone better with computer skills than I can do it. Basically, it says Israel changed out for Malta, added another day at Limmasol, Cyprus.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. We have our fingers crossed. It is such a terrible mess in the MIddle East, I can't imagine when ships will be able to safely dock there again. If anyone hears from Viking, please post info. Safe sailings to all.

If Viking decides not to go to Israel for safety reasons, can a person get a cruise credit if Viking announces the change before they leave?
