Thank you for this Post it was very helpful. We will be boarding The Mediterranea next week and my wife and I like to travel light carrying everything with us then if we need something we buy it in China or England or where ever we are. Carrying a suit and a formal dress "and" the shoes that go with it changes everything.

I became a Vegetarian because it made me feel like I was better than everyone that ate meat....Just Kidding... it was actually because I had a heart attack and several great Doctors I know advised me to change my diet. I also read Dr. Joel Furhman's Books so really I am a Nutritarian eating almost all Fruits and Vegetables and maybe a small amount of chicken once in awhile. Our last cruise was Ovations of The Seas China Korea and Japan and it was easy to go 10 days without eating any meat or fish at all. These Cruise Lines know there are Vegans and Vegetarians onboard just like most Restaurants now in New York City know this. We are going on a Costa Cruise in The Mediterranean in a few weeks and I am fairly sure I can avoid meat there too.

When I used to take Midwest Soccer Teams (with Parents) to Europe I always got this question and I always answered it the same way "Once we get out of Chicago and the wheels are up, We will be fine"

Have not been on a Trans Atlantic cruise "yet" but I think you would approach 10 - 14 days at sea differently (mentally) than 3 ports in a week just like when you fly 14 hours to China compared to a 2 hour flight or drive across North America.

Good point but what grapau27 and I are saying is Make The Most out of your Cruise and Life and while we are at it Let's talk our Wives into letting us buy that Lamborghini or Bentley too, Hey, life is short[emoji52]

Was a weight lifter since my Army days but at 58 and a strong 260 pounds I had a heart attack, switched quickly to Yoga and dropped 80 pounds (Love every Cruise like it's the last one and get The Balcony)

One more Balcony photo and it is not showing off if you are 61 and grew up a fat kid[emoji41] (Same Cruise RCL Ovation of The Seas East China Sea)

I've always watched my money and thought things out before I pay for any luxury upgrade or item but to me the fresh ocean air, coffee at sunrise while listening to local radio and Yoga at sea makes it well worth it and I usually come up with another good money making idea while on that balcony.

It's like any upgrade/luxury in life just be ready to always pay for a balcony for the rest of your Cruising life[emoji106]🏻

What a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks JimAOk1945 and I like that 27th Infantry Patch. My unit was The 82nd Airborne Div.

For 12 years I would take American and Canadian Soccer Teams and parents to Europe for Soccer (Football) Tournaments and no matter how great the Tour was (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels, Copenhagen) I would have 70-80% Love it and 10% that were just miserable no matter what. While on a Cruise one of the Waiters told me that frequently he would see 4 Couples at a Table 7 people having the time of their life and 1 totally depressed. These Cruises are Pretty Nice! across the board and I would have to search for something that would depress me, I just think that some are naturally depressed or they are carrying other problems on their trip. This same 10% always seemed to have all the bad luck on trips too.

Our first 2 Cruises we had an Inside Cabin and we were happy with it. Our recent Cruise in Asia (RCL Ovations of The Seas) out of Tianjin China we had a Balcony and one early morning at Sunrise while cruising into Busan, I was doing my Yoga on the Balcony and we passed a Korean Fishing boat and the old guy (like me) on that boat was also exercising we both waved and laughed. One of those great Cruise Memories on a Balcony. Priceless

Once you Cruise with a Balcony you probably will always go with a Balcony. That Sea Air alone is worth it. They are great for listening to local Radio Stations drinking coffee/Tea at sunrise or exercising.

Any thoughts or advice on one day in Malta? We are open to any advice and have no problem walking around Valletta for 4 or 5 hours if we don't find a Bus Tour. Is there a HOHO Bus in the Vallentta?

My wife and I were just talking about this last night. We did the Google Search of Rick Steves videos like we do with any country we visit just to try to decide. Doesn't look like there is a wrong excursion in Marseille. Leaning towards Avignon. Now I need to figure out which one to take in Malta and Sicily.

Thanks for The Review Big Chik, this is about what we are expecting. Our last cruise was RCL out of China and there was some chaos and a little pushing and shoving but we spend a lot of time in China and it is the norm. Looking forward to it.

Thanks G.M.T. That's what I thought but just needed confirmation. Our friends ask us how we are able to travel so much we always tell them that we don't spend a lot of money daily at Bars, Starbucks and expensive restaurants here in New York.

Thanks Tenpin, I will actually look for Erwin just for the fun of telling him that he had a passenger that mentioned him on this site. In Reality only a small percentage of people actually Travel The World and an even smaller percentage go on Cruises let alone multiple Cruise like everyone on this site, it's a Small World.
