  1. As I understand it, your forwarded points add in and are available for you to download for free-play and/or be available for the host to use to comp items off of your on-board bill. You usually have to have earned 2500 points on a cruise in order to have them take it off your bill. I've seen them give you from $25 to $75 or so for those 2500 points in the past.

Some hosts will say that if you use your points for free-play they can't use it for items off your bill, but I've been able to do use it for both. Of course, they are much friendlier about that since I started earning more than 5000 points a cruise!

Thank you! I only have 1527 to transfer but it will help. I need to get 500 points a night on the next cruise to make the 5,000. That shouldn't be hard as I enjoy the casinos. This is our last cruise this year (I think) so have to make the next level this time around.

  2. 2 NCL cruises this year. 4 last year. Always have to tell onboard host to send email request to get the points.

That's how it was on our last cruise in September. But, I went to tell the host to bank my points on the last day and she quoted all my points. She must of had access to them but only my current points showed on the slots.

Question: The CAS site says the forwarded points can't be used towards drink cards etc. Anyone know what they can be used for? "Points may be transferred from ship to ship; they can’t be used towards points earned for a drink card on the players current cruise. Transferred points don’t add to tier levels either"

  3. I mentioned in an e-mail to CAS that I was going to forward my points from my last cruise to the Epic in Dec. They replied that points are automatically sent to the next cruise. Is this how they do it now? No more having to request a transfer?

"Points are always automatically transferred to your next cruise. You don't have to do anything to have your points transferred."

  4. Cruised and played with NCL 100% 5 years ago. Carnival started giving me Free Ocean view cabins and $1,000 cash on each premier cruise for the past 4.5 years so we jumped ship to Carnival

Well Carnival is now revamping their whole comp system and it stinks....I'm

Gambling More and Spending more than ever and have been downgraded From my previous offers listed above to

now only $500 off the cruise rate and $500 cash

So I called CAS who looked up my play from 5 years ago and said I can get a Free interior on Any cruise to

start and once I'm gambling with them again my offers will go back up to free Balconies, Suites etc

We booked a 2018 14 day Panama Canal cruise on the Bliss with a Free interior to start and upgraded to a mini suite. Saved us over $2,000+

Also With the Free drinks Shipwide promo its a no brainer 🍹🍹😜😜

So don't jump ship yet because Carnival etc r cutting gambling perks n comps worse than NCL

Also when u call CAS if you and your wife both gamble give them her info as well They can combine both of your play and give u better deals

I thought the free drink card was only for the casino while playing?

  5. Also cruising on Epic in December.. With 1500 points you still get 20% off your next cruise. Try calling CAS and they should be able to credit your account...

Thanks for the information. I'm going to call CAS today and see what we can get. Maybe we'll meet on the Epic, I plan to spend a lot of time in the casino this cruise lol. We signed up for the Slot pull and Meet and Greet on the Roll Call page.

  6. If you get over 2500 points on a cruise, they can comp items off your bill. It would be at least $25 but could be more based on some kind of secret formula they use! I've seen them give from one to three times the value. Also, you can convert your earned points to free play to use in the machines.

What kind of machine were you playing? I love that you got big $$ at the last to take off the ship.

It was a Quick Hit. I hit both on the same machine, I believe two days apart. Thank you for the information it makes more sense now. I just wish I had started on our first cruise lol.

  7. Congrats on the Jackpots! I would have been camping out at that machine;)

If you go over the 5000 points on your next cruise a host usually comes and finds you to set you up with your new card. If they don't, go up to the host desk and ask them to check for you. Most hosts are very friendly and will be happy to check for you. Hope you have another fun & LUCKY cruise!

I hit the larger one the last night. Question, I read that I can have my points from the Jewel transferred. What's the reason for that? They said they aren't counted towards much, just curious if I should do that.

  8. I should add that this thread is older and some things have changed. For instance, the 'admin fee' on a 'comped cruise' has been reduced to $20 per person per day. For a one week cruise it costs us $140 per person plus whatever port fees are for that cruise.

Thank you. I only have a little over 1500 points. We sail again On the Epic in December and may be at 5000 during that cruise. I hit two jackpots on our last cruise totaling just over $5200 (on the same machine) so my interest has peaked lol. I put a chunk of that money away for the next cruise.

  9. Gold status but getting close to Platinum. They did serve lox on our last cruise in a small amount. This may be because it was Alaska and salmon was everywhere lol. We slip the servers a couple dollars here and there and have no issues getting a drink. A few times we left our table to dance and found fresh drinks when we sat back down. We love Norwegian, it's the only line I've used but Mary has been on a few others.
