  1. Wonder if anyone can tell me the answer, I know I can bring a litre of spirits on board but can you bring a litre bottle that has already been opened with some out of the bottle. I have a bottle of Jack Daniels I have already opened that is almost full so don’t really want to buy another bottle if I can bring the opened one with me.

    thanks for any replies 🙂

  2. We are in UK and had the old Plus package and phoned to upgrade on the Uk website it says for an additional £20 per day but when they tried to upgrade it it came up £25 per day. I queried what it said on line and they looked at it and said would have to check but put through the upgrade anyway for us and would let us know if it would be £20 or £25. Anyway on the website after a couple of days it was changed to £25 per day to upgrade from plus and no one got in touch with us to confirm but we are being charged £25.

  3. Hi just a quick couple of questions as not cruised with P&O before or brought alcohol on to a ship,  when bringing a litre bottle of alcohol on board has it got to be an unopened bottle or is it ok to bring a bottle that has been opened already? Also where do you pack the alcohol in your hand luggage or your case that goes to your cabin?

    Thanks in advance 😊

  4. Got an email through from Princess it had a video link in it which when you watch it says when they start back it will be all medallion class. We are booked on Sun Princess on 28th May and isn’t a medallion class ship so wonder if it is getting upgrade or if will have a change of ship. 🤔 Have posted link to video below.

  5. I rang Princess as someone on another forum had said you had to get it before final payment was due. Wanted clarification as we have paid in full and wanted to be sure that although we have paid our cruise we would still be able to get this offer we are 170 days out. The Princess representative on the phone said as long as it is booked before 90 days it doesn’t matter if you have paid the balance as long as you book the promotion before 90 days till your cruise.

  6. We are currently booked on the Grand Princess in  Balcony Room have rang Princess and We could upgrade to a Mini Suite for appx £150 each so total £300 for the week or to a Club Class for £350 each so £700 total for the week. Would you upgrade and to which one, never been on Princess cruise before is either one worth it? Thanks

  7. Barcelona itself has a number of beaches that are not that far from the port we have been there just as a city break and it’s a great destination as it is a city break and beach holiday all in one. You can probably get a cab to the nearest which is at most 5-10 mins ride.

just realised u are probably starting cruise from Barcelona!

I contacted them to see if I could buy tickets in advance or make a reservation.  Here was the reply:

    Hello-

All our ticket sales are on a first come first serve basis, so it is not possible to make a reservation. That being said, our boats hold upwards of 300 people, so they very rarely fill up all the way. If you arrive at our ticket office (56 commercial street) about 20 minutes before the Mailboat, you will have plenty of time to buy tickets and get in line and you shouldn’t have a problem getting on the boat.

    Best, CBL

We bought our tickets for this at https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/tour/mainboat-run-cruise-portland/CNPTCBLMALBOT

I had the same experience last year when I booked a cruise tour for this year.  I can't remember how long it took but the ability to book excursions for the land portion through your cruise personalizer will happen.  Just be patient and check your personalizer often.

Thanks I thought that would be the case just don’t want to miss upgrading to the Tundra tour at Denali lol!

  10. Hi just  a quick question to anyone who has done an Alaskan cruise tour.We are booked on a cruisetour to Alaska next May and have booked our excursions for the cruise but nothing showing on land part yet. When does the excursions on the land tour normally become available to book? Thanks 🙂

Thank you Tina. I am researching tours now for Stirling castle. I also think I will get my money's worth visiting Stirling, The Trossachs and Luss.  I appreciate your reply.

You are welcome Stirling itself is a lovely town I used to deliver mail there. Forgot to mention also that Luss is a village on the banks of Loch Lomond so you will also be visiting one of Scotland’s most famous Lochs!

  12. Thanks for all your replies we sail on the 29th of August on Anthem. So it looks like from what everyone is saying there won’t be many children on the cruise. We had thought the itinerary was geared more towards adults than kids and chose to go here again after last time.

We don’t do beach holidays etc so thought this itinerary would suit us best as we prefer to get out and see places and do stuff even if we have done it already.

I asked this morning and they said you can definitely get hot chocolate on the drink package there. They will just use the chocolate syrup and add it to the steamed/frothed milk. Whichever way they do it, he told me it would be no problem!

Many thanks for finding out for us!

Your cruise sounds great enjoying reading about it,  can’t wait for ours next year.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

maybe at Le Patiserie but otherwise the only hot chocolate on board is that fake chocolate powder fron Nestle

    Thanks

the Nestle one isn’t too bad but you would think that if they did a mocha they would do a hot chocolate as we have Seattle coffee in cafe in Asda UK (owned by Walmart) and they have hot chocolate. Anyway no hot chocolate isn’t going to spoil our cruise lol!

Edited to add - they will make your coffee drinks with almond milk. I haven’t checked for other non-dairy alternatives, but they do a good job with the almond milk. Just FYI.

Do you know if they serve Hot Chocolate there as one of us doesn’t drink coffee will only drink hot chocolate as a hot drink and we have the drinks package included on our cruise next year? Thanks 🙂
