  1. Very interesting you post this. I just posted a similar question for a cruise I want to take 5-5-19 on the Magic from Ft Lauderdale. The ships leaves at 9pm due to the fact it is moving from Miami to Ft Lauderdale that day. Boarding time starts at 3pm according to a Carnival employee I spoke to tonight. I just don't know what hubby and I would do from hotel check out time(11am) to board time of 3pm considering we would be arriving in FLL from Las Vegas the day before and have three pieces of luggage and no where to go with it. Last thing I want to have is a stressful embark day. Any idea why your depart time is 6pm?

Ask for a late check out.

  2. This is the first I have heard of this. Did it work consistently? It would be great to send one of us to the coffee bar while the other is getting ready (or sleeping in). Is this allowed in other places as well?

We did this on the Victory It was either me going up or my DW. I did this with the same bartender. Took care of him on the first day and last. No biggie and yes I would order water with each booze at the same time as well.

  3. I just talked to my pvp and she said dont listen to the debbie downers on cruisecritic, she has known me a long time and booked pretty much every one of my carnival cruises, 161 days to date, She is sure Ill love it. Quit worrying

and thanks for the utube video, awesome. Im feeling better about this.

You will have a great time. I think you are over thinking and want to please your friends. Chillax it is a cruise and it will be fun.

  4. On our most recent Dream cruise, the cabin attendant definitely did not clean the cabin even once a day on multiple days....worst service ever. We prepaid all grats. We were absent from the room, having fun with shore excursions, etc. so there were plenty of times for the usually ninja-like cleaners to bring the room back to the standard (not that we made a mess nor left towels, clothing, food trays all around). It just didn't happen like usual. Very disappointing to not even see once-daily service.

On our last cruise My buddy would leave do not disturb sign on the door. He doesn't like people to enter his cabin. Little paranoid and He would just exchange his towels directly On the 3rd day. The Steward and the head Steward stopped him on his way out. Like they were waiting for him. The steward was worried that he may have a complaint against her so they were trying to resolve it. Apparently if they get so many complaints they get sent home. He cleared it up and told them that is just how he likes it So they were relieved.

  5. Our cruise is not until May 2019. We have a balcony on Deck 7. My TA called me saying Carnival sent her an email offering me an upgrade. At first I got excited but then she told me they wanted to give a balcony on Deck 8 in the front below the Water Works It was 17.00 more per person per day on a 8 day. I took a pass on that. I was hoping for a suite upgrade so who knows still awhile away from May.

    Happy Sailing :D
