Spanning across Croatia, France, Greece, Monaco, Montenegro, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, the excursions offer excitement, deep learning and enriching opportunities, such as: MAGNIFICENT VILLAGES OF FONTAINE DE VAUCLUSE AND L’ISLE SUR LA SORGUE. (France) Explore two charming Provence villages in Marseille, France that revolve around the meandering Sorgue River that connects them. The river’s source is a powerful spring in the village of Fontaine de Vaucluse that gushes an abundance of turquoise water through the beautiful Provençal countryside. It’s the fastest-flowing water in France. Jacques Cousteau tried to reach the spring’s underwater source in the 1940s but the current was so strong he turned back. Guests will see the famed spring and other landmarks in the ancient village, which has long inspired writers and artists. (Included in voyage price) ACOUSTIC FLAMENCO AND THE MINES (Spain) Enjoy a unique tour of a former mine that culminates with an underground flamenco performance of songs that salute the mining industry. The Carthaginians and Romans first mined the area around the village of Parque Minero more than 2,000 years ago. Mining reached its peak in the 19th century, as guests will discover while walking through the vast complex of caves in the Agrupa Vicenta mine. The acoustics below the surface are excellent for flamenco, the soulful instrumental guitar music synonymous with southern Spain. (Included in voyage price) A VISIT TO AMBELONAS WINE ESTATE (Greece) Tour a centuries-old estate in Corfu’s fertile interior and sample wines paired with organic delicacies that reflect the owners’ passion for preserving traditional methods of production. After departing from the pier, guests enjoy a brief, picturesque drive into the interior of Corfu, a fertile agricultural area that inspired the island’s nickname — the Emerald Island. At the Ambelonas estate, guests are welcomed with a cup of herbal tea that is highly regarded for its refreshing, restorative qualities. During the tour that follows, guests walk through the estate’s vineyard with one of the owners and learn about the two varieties of grapes that are grown at Ambelonas: red skopelitiko and white kakotrygis. A highlight of the visit to Ambelonas is a tasting of wines thoughtfully paired with delicacies prepared on the estate. (Included in voyage price) CARAVAGGIO EXCLUSIVE VISIT AT PIO MONTE. (Italy) In Naples, marvel at "The Seven Works of Mercy," Caravaggio’s exquisite oil painting that depicts seven acts of kindness on a single large canvas, while the curator elaborates on its artistic significance. With Mount Vesuvius looming in the background, guests will then proceed through town to the 100-year-old restaurant, La Bersagliera, a lovely waterfront setting for lunch. ($229 per guest) MUSSEL TASTING TOUR BY SPEED BOAT. (Montenegro) Cruise through beautiful Boka Bay in Montenegro to the islet Our Lady of the Rocks and then sample freshwater mussels at a farm that grows and harvests them. The leisurely boat ride will be extraordinarily scenic, especially approaching Our Lady of the Rocks, a small, manmade islet created to commemorate the sailors from the town of Perast, which lies directly across the bay. Boka Bay is also known for producing some of Montenegro’s finest mussels, and guests will enjoy an insider’s look at the process at a commercial mussel farm. ($129 per guest) ELECTRIC-BIKE IN THE VINEYARDS FROM LA CADIERE D’AZUR (France). Ride an electric bike from the enchanting village of La Cadiere d’Azur in France through the vineyards of the Bandol region to sample a selection of characteristic wines and be served fougasse, a crusty Provençal flat bread whose origins date to Roman times. The electronic bike allows guests to ride farther and negotiate hills with considerably less effort than a traditional bike. ($199 per guest) All 65 new excursions can be found here.
  8. Marc, The statement released was intended for all NCLH brands: We are closely monitoring these recent developments and any resulting impact to cruise travel to Cuba. We will communicate to our guests and travel partners as additional information becomes available. Jason
  9. Marc, We want to be as transparent as possible. However, I would prefer to focus on accommodating impacted guests vs attempting to assess responsibility. There was a port conflict that we needed to resolve and we did our best to minimize the impacts as best we could. It was not ideal and we remain hopeful that the majority of guests will have some understanding due to this voyage being a year away. It's not easy and understandably we have disappointed some people. We recognize not everyone will be happy with the itinerary changes, but we're going to do our best to mitigate the disappointment and willing to find other reasonable solutions should they have no interest in the revised voyage.
  10. makai 7, Apologies for this inconvenience and disruption to your travel plans. It was not our intention to disappoint you or any other guest booked on the two impacted voyages. Ultimately, there was a conflict that we were not able to resolve and it pushed us to alter the voyage itinerary. We attempted to enhance the two voyages with additional visits to Japan in good faith and due to overwhelming response to our 2019 and 2021 Japan programs. We remain hopeful that you'll have understanding since this voyage is one year out and that you retain flexibility in switching your voyages dates or the ability to cancel without any penalty. We hope you'll give the updated itineraries a closer look as well as the added land programs that complement the turn in Tokyo. Should you wish to discuss alternatives, our team is available to assist you or your travel advisor in finding a satisfactory solution. I apologize again for the inconvenience this has caused.
  11. This sounds like the Ambassador Offer submission confirmation email that you received. We recently updated this language as the shipboard credit will not be added unless the eligibility requirements are satisfied. It originally stated the 14 days you mention for it to be applied, however, we clarified this further to make it more clear regarding the eligibility confirmation. Please verify with your travel advisor or our reservations team to confirm the status.
  12. Regent is proud to include gratuities in the cruise fare for all onboard employees and tipping is not expected onboard. We hope that none of our guests ever feel intimidated otherwise. Guests wishing to tip for “above and beyond” service is a personal decision. It would be difficult for us to police this, nor do we want to develop crew restrictions around this. As it relates to the crew fund, the crew themselves decide how the money is spent, and it is by a committee on each ship. The Crew Welfare Fund is a cash account and the reason why we do not offer the ability to charge contributions to your onboard account. Instead, we offer the ability to complete a cash advance (without any fees) and in turn, donate it to the crew fund. I would also like to acknowledge the perceptions regarding staff visibility in Compass Rose on the last evening of the voyage. As many of you know, our crew gets to know many guests quite well and often develop long-lasting friendships. We only wish to encourage this and as appropriate. The last night of the cruise is typically the last chance to extend fond farewells and mentions for a safe return home along with hopes that they’ll soon return. However, given the feedback mentioned, we will review with the team and train towards additional sensitivity around this to avoid any potential misperceptions in the future.
  13. EaglesLover, Seven Seas Mariner is currently on charter and it concludes on 3/28. Bon voyage!
  14. Wendy, WC guests receive a selection of distinct perks not offered through the loyalty benefits. Ie. Free Luggage Shipping, Medical, Visas, Shoreside events, and a Pre-Cruise Gala. The WC amenities that overlap with the loyalty benefits are limited to Free Laundry ultimately and you could also consider the Free Phone time, but that is earned through the loyalty tier achievement (as guests come on these voyages as a Gold-level member at minimum and would receive up to 3 hrs. phone time per segment.) This last point may be one that is overlooked as our WC guests automatically achieve Gold-status immediately due to the length of the WC voyage. On the flip-side, Platinum members receive a Free Custom Air Service, and 10% savings on Regent Choice tours, Pre- and Post-Hotels, Land Programs and the Overland programs that we've mentioned.
  15. Yes, and thank you for reminding me of these. The Overland Programs during the voyage are eligible for the savings too.
