  1. Empress of the Seas Review - Continued

Perhaps it's the geek in me, but waking up to see your ship is quite a thrill. Anyone else agree?

You can see Enchantment of the Seas behind the Carinval ship

The ships weren't the only great views in the morning:

    COMING UP NEXT:

We board the Empress of the Seas.

We were up, getting ready to disembark when you took this pic. Sad morning getting off that small ship with a big heart ❤️

  2. And this probably why they are charging $25 if you don't return you towel back by the pool area daily. I guess they are trying to cut the daily chair hoggers that never return. Once those towels are picked up, they have no idea who they belonged to, so who ever didn't physically return the towel and didn't get their sea pass scanned for the return, get charged $25 for the towel.

  3. I doubt there will be a line to get on the tenders. The cruise lines discourage passengers from forming lines to get off the ship. They will likely hand out numbers to get on the tenders, this will probably be the previous day or early in the morning, check the Cruise Compass for the exact time and location. Get there early for the tender tickets. Wind and waves often delay and sometimes cancel tendering in Grand Cayman.

    Good Luck

On Empress they do not give numbers, they just have people line up since it is a small ship that holds 1800. If your sailing is not sold out, you should not have a problem. My sailing was sold out and the wait was very short. The crew is very efficient and the tender boats hold about 200+ people at a time.

  4. For those sailing out this weekend. Just got this from Royal:

    ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS*

Hello, this is Royal Caribbean International. We are contacting you with important information regarding your upcoming sailing on Navigator of the Seas on March 26th.*

The Ultra Music Festival will be taking place this weekend at Bayfront Park.* We are expecting extremely heavy traffic in the area to access the port.* We ask that guests provide ample time to arrive at the port for boarding.* To access the cruise terminal it is recommended you enter the port via I-395 / SR-887 / MacArthur Causeway to the Port of Miami Tunnel.

Yes avoid Biscayne Blvd! Make sure to go thru the port tunnel which goes goes under water and crosses the channel into the port. It is pretty cool! Make sure who ever is transporting knows to go through the tunnel and not to get off on Biscayne Blvd.

  5. Hi All,

Looking to book a RC Caribbean cruise out of Miami for June 2018 but can't seem to find any.

Do they not have any cruises out of Miami in June?

    Cheers

    Davy !!!

Harmony of the Seas sailings are on website and the rest of the year Caribbean content will be added tonight. Crown and Anchor members can book tomorrow, general booking will open Friday.

  6. Yeah, being a local here near the port, it definitely irritates me when they call it:

    "Orlando's Port Canaveral". Uggghhh!!! :mad::mad:

Orlando is inland middle of the state, no where near the coast, 40 miles away, and not even in the same county. They are Orange County. We are Brevard County.

Port Canaveral is....Port Canaveral. Should RCI call Port Everglades "Miami's Port

    Everglades"??!! ;p

Actually, Port Everglades is in Fort Lauderdale. Miami has Port of Miami.

  7. Most definitely NOT a surprise....but...more info please. Delayed until when? Just this week's delayed or delayed indefinitely, etc.

Not sure as of yet, waiting to get more info. All I know from a higher up is that there was issue with the system due to the recategorization of the staterooms.
