So for the deluxe package when they say “food from room service” what exactly does that mean? (Bella service charge, pizza, dinner, hot breakfast? Etc)
-
If you have the old deluxe package which fees do you pay? (Fee for Bella, service charge, pizza price, etc)

I’m sailing the end of April and mine are gone too.

Buffet on Deck 16 has a soft ice cream place. We would go there after the show for a "night cap".
Is that free for everyone?

Now I’m really curious so I looked: For the Seaside, Miami Beach bar in the MSC for Me app it’s “Italian artistian ice cream from Venchi” and in the Venchi bar it’s called Gelato. There’s nothing anywhere about soft ice cream.

Ohhh that’s one of the new packages. The old ones it was the Gelato. That’s dumb.
-
Last time I was on the Divina it was. There’s probably just confusion with all the new drink packages. Which one do you have?
-
Take away icecream is the gelato.

Ohhh I think you’re right. I vaguely remember now having Pepsi in the Med. The ones out of Miami are Coke though.

On the Seaside 3/16, many of the specialty bars did not have menus (Venchi, Seaside Bar, and others). Apparently they are getting new menus again and they hadn't come in yet...
Someone needs to post these when they do come in. 😄

While we are all whining about MSC’s customer service, after I booked I noticed that my cruise was a “voyagers select sailing” and I am a gold card member. Tried calling a few different times but they refuse to give me the extra 5% discount and onboard credit. 😔 This will be my 3rd cruise with them and first major issue. You’d think they’d do a better job of accommodating repeat cruisers.

That’s sad if it’s true because that was the perfect spot. We did it Feb. 2018

Awesome! Thanks!

Please let me know when you get back if they had dairy free milk at the bars and such and how they handled your intolerance. A friend I’m traveling with can’t have dairy and she’s hoping to look forward to coffee drinks.

What about the gelato? They still giving that with the old packages? I saw the new ones don’t have it so I could see issues there.

I’ve been wanting to know the answer to this. 😄

Did you get the upgrade because you have not paid the final pay ydet.
Yes. Final payment won’t be due for me till January, so I’ve been watching for sales.

So I was on the website and saw they were doing a get a balcony room at the ocean view price sale on the Seaside. I’m booked for next April so I called them up and got $200 knocked off my price! Super excited. It kept the drinks on us promotion, room number, and everything. [emoji1]

Keep in mind people are probably going to drink way more in the Caribbean vs. a European vacation. (Or at least I typically do.) I’m sure they take that into account when they price the packages. And right now the Caribbean has the free drinks on us running, so it all balances out in the end. You just have to find the good deals that match what you want.

I believe there was cider on the MSC Orchestra, so you may be able to find some in one of the Seaside bars. Keep in mind that she’ll be able to enjoy pop, smoothies, milkshakes, gelato, bottled water, coffee, etc. which will help with the value of upgrading.

So it definitely happens in general, as we’ve figured out, but when you book MSC, you don’t get your boarding pass until your room is assigned, so wouldn’t that mean they don’t over book?

I thought it was all free except those things either way?
